Until Britain recovers control of its own borders the crazy pro-Muslim immigration policy favoured by the Macrons and the Merkels of the Continent will impact with all its adversity upon the United Kingdom.

And the subjugation of British laws and policy to the unelected faceless bureaucrats of Brussels and Strasbourg will continue to work its mischief and its evil.

Surely that's common sense.

Consequently, law-abiding Brits could find themselves with a "criminal" record.  And without the need for "evidence"!

Meanwhile, this highly detailed Pew Reseach Center study, which demonstrates that no matter whether levels of Muslim immigration into Europe maintain their present high rates or fall by 2050, the non-Muslim population is on the inexorable decline relative to the Muslim one, can only chill the non-"progressive" heart.

So Mike Carlton (threatened by his editor with suspension) has fallen on his slime-handled dagger, the victim not of that noisome Sydney Morning Herald column of his that, accompanied by an antisemitic cartoon, caused so much outrage but of the vile, abusive responses, some of them antisemitic, that he meted out to persons critical of that column.

As reported in a longish piece in today's The Australian, before the news broke that he'd quit the Sydney Morning Herald (as duly reported in The Australian here):

'Fairfax Media is under pressure to sack columnist Mike Carlton, who has been ordered to apologise for using anti-Semitic and abusive language towards readers, calling one a “Jewish bigot” and telling several others to “f..k off”.

As The Sydney Morning Herald’s editor-in-chief Darren Goodsir admitted to a former Fairfax director that he was not finding it easy to keep the newspaper “fair and balanced”, he has spent the past few days responding to readers incensed over Carlton’s columns and the paper’s coverage of the conflict in Israel.

“I deeply regret the insulting, discourteous and unprofessional remarks Mike Carlton made to you,” Goodsir emailed one businessman on Friday. “Your points are valid, and well made — and, while I am not sacking him as you have urged, please rest assured that I have admonished him in the strongest terms. I apologise for his inappropriate conduct, and have stressed to him the need for higher standards in future.”

.... Carlton has not let up on his abuse of readers over Twitter ....

Sydney father Yury ...  received a torrent of abuse.

“You’re the one full of hate and bile, sunshine. The classic example of the Jewish bigot. Now f. k off,” Carlton emailed him. He later wrote: “Go f. k yourself. I gather you are some sort of jumped up hotel waiter. What a pathetic wanker you are. And A-grade liar. Anything from you in future goes straight to trash, unread.” ....

Fairfax has gone into overdrive over the past 10 days in an effort to stop subscribers cancelling the Herald....

Executive Council of Australian Jewry president Robert Goot said Carlton’s responses to some of his readers were racist and showed an intolerance of views that differed from his own.

“One expects more temperate language from a senior writer using the Herald’s Twitter handle and email account,’’ he said....

One businessman emailed Goodsir to call on Carlton to be sacked, saying he had no right to speak to readers the way he did.

“If anyone who worked in my company told a customer to f. k off, it would be their last day. They’d be fired on the spot,’’ he said. “When are you going to ask Mr Carlton to step down from his position?” ....'

According to Carlton, still raving on Twitter, among those apparently commiserating with him on his fall is Wayne Swan, who was federal treasurer in Julia Gillard's Cabinet.

Amid the gutter language Carlton continues to employ to and about his critics, comes his dismissive, derogatory view of one of the bravest women in the world, whose stand against Islamic fascism and misogyny might be expected to appeal him and other creatures of  the Left, concerned as they always claims to be with human rights: Ayaan Hirsi Ali, he's tweeted, "is a media-crawling poseur".

Ah well, here's another ranter  (a non-foul-mouthed one this time, talking about the situation in Gaza) who knows a thing or two about the hypocrisy of the Left:

He's at his best in this passionate indictment of the illiberal "liberalism" , hypocrisy, and Israel-bashing of the Guardian and the BBC, mincing no words regarding the antisemitism that infuses the former:

Pat Condell is certainly worked up in this, his latest rant against Islam in Britain.

His strictures against the Islamic attitude to women are of course well-justified.  Yet the Islamic Human Rights Council gave its recent "Islamophobe of the Year" Award to a young man who had opposed the imposition of gender segregation (demeaning to women) in the public space of the university as demanded by Islamists!

How strange it is that dedicated feminist Sarah Teather MP, one of the brightest stars in the Lib Dem firmament, endorsed the recent "Islamophobia" Awards with the statement:

"I’m really pleased to see the Islamophobia Awards returning this year for what I know will be a very fun evening with a serious message.  Discrimination and prejudice in all their forms are completely unacceptable but, sadly, they persist. With the current climate of anti-immigration rhetoric in the media, I am particularly concerned about rising xenophobia and Islamophobia. That’s why the work of the Islamic Human Rights Commission is so important."

And how strange it is that life peer and former Liberal MP Lord Avebury, better known to the general public as Eric Lubbock, who caused a sensation back in 1962 when he was elected Liberal MP for Orpington (thus prompting some commentators to wonder whether the all-but-dead-and-buried Liberal Party of Gladstone and Asquith and Grimond was due for a revival), should also endorse those awards; not only is he an avowed Liberal but he is an Honorary Associate of the National Secular Society and a Distinguished Supporter of the British Humanist Association:

"I am delighted to send this message of welcome for the Islamophobia Awards Ceremony and for the valuable work of the Islamic Human Rights Commission, and I am proud to have been  involved in some of their work."

But perhaps the most shameful endorsement came from the ludicrous former Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, whose co-religionists are daily being persecuted and slaughtered by adherents of "the religion of peace":

"The fact that prejudice and ignorance are ridiculous doesn’t – unfortunately – make them less lethal. But it is important from time to time to be reminded that they are ridiculous, and that’s why this event is so welcome...."

"Revert" Lauren Booth suggested a winner in her endorsement:

"....Well done IHRC for your sterling work. My vote goes to Bibi Netanyahu for his Outstanding Effort to demonise Islam."

Meanwhile, as doughty pro-Israel blogger Edgar Davidson has noted in a post that deserves more exposure, Britain's supine Anglo-Jewish "leadership" appears to be sliding into dhimmitude: see his post here and be sure to click on his links!

Islam's Backward, Barbaric Misogyny, & The "Progressive" Westerners Who Indulge It (video)

With honourable exceptions, Western  feminists are turning a deliberate blind eye to the misogyny of an imported religion that (as repeatedly glimpsed here) demeans women, permits wife-beating, tolerates if not requires female genital mutilation (see two imams arguing on this matter here), promotes forced marriages,  "honour killings," and  "rape jihad,"  and threatens to imperil themselves and their own female offspring, by acquiescing in the servile Western appeasement of Islam that tolerates the infringement of women's hard-won rights.

In thus helping to fashion the tools of their own oppression, Western women (I myself also include leftwing Western men in this indictment) are betraying not only themselves and their female relatives and offspring but they also betray women who suffer under Sharia, whose courts are mushrooming in Britain.

Love him or hate him, in this video Pat Condell is superb, absolutely nailing the issues as he excoriates the supine hypocrisy of the feminists who are quick to condemn the male chauvinism, real and supposed, of their own menfolk, but fail to condemn the brutal and backward attitude to women that characterises Islam.

A good point is his observation that the emancipation of women from Islamic oppression should be seen as urgent a matter as was the abolition of slavery a couple of hundred years ago.

A British Liberal rabbi, in the wake of the Toulouse atrocities, blogged:

"Inevitably, the incidents in France will stoke Islamophobia....The consequence of blaming a whole culture for the acts of deranged individuals is something we know all too well.... As Jews, we must specially tackle Islamophobia ..."
