In a Friday sermon on 27 July at the Al-Faruq Mosque, Copenhagen, Imam Mundhir Abdallah claimed that his sermon of 31 March last year, for which he was recently indicted on charges of hate speech, was not about the Jews, but about Palestine. To quote the uploader:

Last evening I stumbled online across lovely footage from "the Swinging Sixties".  Specifically it shows scenes of London in the summer of 1967.  Glimpses of Carnaby Street fashions, and the Portobello market, Biba, and much more. Bouffant-haired girls in their summer dresses, groovy guys with Beatles haircuts ...

The footage has attracted many views, together with innumerable comments.  The general theme, from both older commenters and people who were not even born in the 1960s, is the way in which Britain has changed since that decade.

Yes, some  remark how great it is to see people actually looking where they are going rather than being glued to mobile phones, while others remark how better dressed people seemed to be back then, and how slim.

But by far the prevailing nostalgia focused on the comparative homogeneity of the population, and a strong Islamophobic thread weaves through the comments.

Shocking to behold, though not numerous, are comments blaming population diversity and mass immigration on "Jews" and "Zionist Jews", with one avowedly "Asian" commenter joining in the antisemitism, and somebody adding obscenely that "the Jews" won the Second World War.

I felt like asking why, since mass Islamic migration, with what it portends at the ballot box and elsewhere, is hardly in the interests of Zionists and Jews, would any Jew want to encourage, much less engineer, it.  But then I figured that conspiracy theorists are incorrigible and best left alone.

Why encourage it, indeed?  There are plenty of Jews who realise that mass Muslim immigration is not in their interests, nor in those of the wider society. However,  Melanie Phillips, in an article concerning Israel's new Nationality Law, wrote, inter alia, a few days ago:

'Two utterly fundamental and seismic issues are threatening to tear apart Britain, Europe and America. They are mass immigration and national identity.

The majority of Jews in Britain and America are warmly disposed towards the former and terrified of the latter. They have got it precisely the wrong way round.

The Jewish world will merely consist instead of the State of Israel — the one place where Judaism’s defining and indissoluble connection between the people, the religion and the land to form the Jewish nation really does have meaning.'

Let us renew national sovereignty, and recover the dignity of a shared political responsibility for Europe’s future."

The OSCE is concerned with early warning, conflict prevention, crisis management, and post-conflict rehabilitation. Its 57 participating states are located in Europe, northern and central Asia, and North America. The participating states cover much of the land area of the Northern Hemisphere. It was created during the Cold War era as an East–West forum."

"The Human Dimension Implementation Meeting (HDIM) of OSCE ... Europe's largest annual human rights and democracy conference. Representatives of NGOs are entitled to have their say at the conference regarding items on the agenda, and among those this year attending to express apprehension regarding the unfettered migration of anti-assimilationist Muslims to Europe and the imposition of legislation that would effectively silence related concern and criticism as "hate speech" are the Austrian activist Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff, who is on record as fearing for the future of her young daughter in an islamified continent,  and the American former CIA operative Claire Lopez, who represents the Center for Security Policy in Washington.

There are on the Vlad Tepes YouTube channel more videos of persons worried about the islamification of Europe addressing the conference, and it speaks volumes that at the conclusion of their remarks the (female) moderator of the conference reminds participants "to adhere to principles of tolerance and non-discrimination in line with OCSE commitment".

To the delight of the leftist media, including the BBC, a Holocaust survivor approaching 90 years of age has made an impassioned plea for tolerance of migrants pouring into Europe and a condemnation of its rightwing opponents.  Her focus was on Austria, birthplace of a certain genocidal monster, and her message is to that extent understandable.  But that doesn't, of course, mean that her message is valid or relevant in general to what is occurring in Europe.

The many worried Europeans, Jew and non-Jew, who fear that today's mass Muslim migration into Europe, made up as it largely is of men of military age unaccompanied by women and children, is less a resettlement of peaceable refugee families than an invasion force resistant to assimilation, contemptuous of Western freedoms, and aiming for the islamification of Europe, with all that portends for future generations, will not take reassurance from this footage.

It was apparently taken in Hanau, a town east of Frankfurt-am-Main perhaps best known as the birthplace of the Brothers Grimm.

Yes, he's the wonderful Brian of London, who blogs at IsraellyCool, and whose devastating demolition of the lies that underpin a certain prizewinning speech has caused such a stir this past week.
