Eretz Israel is our unforgettable historic homeland...The Jews who will it shall achieve their State...And whatever we attempt there for our own benefit will redound mightily and beneficially to the good of all mankind. (Theodor Herzl, DerJudenstaat, 1896)

We offer peace and amity to all the neighbouring states and their peoples, and invite them to cooperate with the independent Jewish nation for the common good of all. The State of Israel is ready to contribute its full share to the peaceful progress and development of the Middle East.
(From Proclamation of the State of Israel, 5 Iyar 5708; 14 May 1948)

With a liberal democratic political system operating under the rule of law, a flourishing market economy producing technological innovation to the benefit of the wider world, and a population as educated and cultured as anywhere in Europe or North America, Israel is a normal Western country with a right to be treated as such in the community of nations.... For the global jihad, Israel may be the first objective. But it will not be the last. (Friends of Israel Initiative)

Two Stars Come Out (videos)

The first video shows Bob Geldof, speaking on Israel's aid to Africa (just one of the many humanitarian contributions of the much-traduced little nation around the globe, of course):

The second video shows Kiss's Gene Simmons in Israel earlier this year, leaving no doubt where he stands on  Bibi Netanyahu and on the cultural boycott.

  1. You would have thought that someone from Geldof's background would be anti-Zionist and anti-Israel, but no - he is someone who recognises the truth and is not frightened to articulate it.

He has gone up in my estimation.

This is the face of a true humanitarian, unlike those who claim to be so but whose actions demonstrate the opposite.

  2. I was pleasantly surprised too, Ray.
And I'm a firm fan now of Gene Simmons - never cared for the stage get-up, but he really is an impressive guy!

  3. This ethical elegance of both these 'GOOD MEN' just made my day!!

And: Ray Cook and Daphne: You both said it for me too!

  4. Gene Simmons is so right about Bibi. My wife and I have always admired Netanyahu's advocacy for Israe. I have said for many years now that Bibi is a man chosen for the right time. I always said that he would be PM again. There are dark times ahead, but God is putting His people in place. There are Esthers(male and female) who are waiting for such a time as this. We are beginning to see who they are.

  5. I entirely agree with Gene Simmons as well.
He praises Bibi as a fine and lucid speaker - the same goes for Gene himself!
