Hmmm. So that's what Oslo looks like nowadays ...
Eretz Israel is our unforgettable historic homeland...The Jews who will it shall achieve their State...And whatever we attempt there for our own benefit will redound mightily and beneficially to the good of all mankind. (Theodor Herzl, DerJudenstaat, 1896)
We offer peace and amity to all the neighbouring states and their peoples, and invite them to cooperate with the independent Jewish nation for the common good of all. The State of Israel is ready to contribute its full share to the peaceful progress and development of the Middle East. (From Proclamation of the State of Israel, 5 Iyar 5708; 14 May 1948)
With a liberal democratic political system operating under the rule of law, a flourishing market economy producing technological innovation to the benefit of the wider world, and a population as educated and cultured as anywhere in Europe or North America, Israel is a normal Western country with a right to be treated as such in the community of nations.... For the global jihad, Israel may be the first objective. But it will not be the last. (Friends of Israel Initiative)

Anti-Jew and anti-Israel sentiments in Norway flourish, despite local denials.
ReplyDeleteThe norwegian govt has been proven greatly incompetent at protecting its own citizens. Yet it is an expert at criticizing Israel.
Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere frequently condemns Israel and tells it how to handle infinitely more complex challenges
than Norway is able to deal with.
This arrogance is often shared by Norwegian media editors, NGOs, some Lutheran bishops, trade union leaders and others among the country’s cultural elite.
this is Institutionalized anti-semitism.
Yes, Jean - it has a reputation as the most antisemitic country in Europe.

Proves that you do not know much about Norway and Europe. Maybe you should concentrate on how Australia treats their own minority? Torger Dahl
Deletei will not visit the fjords anymore :)
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, in a land down under:

Is this a hoax? I have my office on Oslo, but I've not seen, read or heard anything about this demonstration. A search in the web site to the biggest newspaper here does not give me anything. That the Norwegian media should not cover a demonstration like that because they apparently are afraid of the Zionists, is one the most stupid thing I've read in a long time, besides being very offending. Can it be a fabrication by the never sleeping enemies of Oslo and Norway (the settlers and their followers)? But whatever, contrary to many other countries, we have freedom of speech in Norway, and if Muslims and others in Norway want a demonstration like that, they are free to have one.
ReplyDeleteToday the sentence on the terrorist who killed 77 people here in Norway last year, mostly kids, is made public. He was a Muslim hater, and clearly those people represent the real danger to the Norwegian society.
Torger Dahl, Oslo
A hoax? By whom?
DeleteFreedom of speech in Norway exists in the Orwellian sense.
DeleteThere have been many similar demonstrations in Norway, which has earned its reputation, even if the echoes in the chamber drown the reality.
Stick to matters you know, and stay off the blog if you are as ignorant as you prove by this!

ReplyDeletethe real danger to the Norwegian society
is the Utoya Camp style known as FATAH PLO Terrorist Camp
Glenn Beck was right when he compared Norway’s Utoya Island political camp, shot up by Anders Breivik, to a Hitler Youth camp.
these youths boycotted Israel and played HAMAS flotilla “games.”
Yeah, and the moon is a yellow cheese! Take off your blinds and learn to read properly, so maybe you will see the real world, not only your own fantasy land!
DeleteYou write that "I'm a writer/researcher, with many academic books and articles" and that you " also hold a doctorate". Do youi really want us to believe that, after comparing the killed youth with the Hitler Youth? Really?
DeleteTorger, Jean did not make those quoted statements - you are confused.
DeleteSorry about that, I mixed the two of you.
DeleteThat's OK, Torger.

"The Oslo Times"! Where did you find that one? It's not even registered as a company in Norway. If you want to read Norwegian papers, we have several real papers you can choose from. And what do you mean by "drop you veil"? I guess I've done more for Israel's security than you'll ever do!
