Thanks, as so often, to Shirlee, who alerted me to this one, by a new fightback group:
Eretz Israel is our unforgettable historic homeland...The Jews who will it shall achieve their State...And whatever we attempt there for our own benefit will redound mightily and beneficially to the good of all mankind. (Theodor Herzl, DerJudenstaat, 1896)
We offer peace and amity to all the neighbouring states and their peoples, and invite them to cooperate with the independent Jewish nation for the common good of all. The State of Israel is ready to contribute its full share to the peaceful progress and development of the Middle East. (From Proclamation of the State of Israel, 5 Iyar 5708; 14 May 1948)
With a liberal democratic political system operating under the rule of law, a flourishing market economy producing technological innovation to the benefit of the wider world, and a population as educated and cultured as anywhere in Europe or North America, Israel is a normal Western country with a right to be treated as such in the community of nations.... For the global jihad, Israel may be the first objective. But it will not be the last. (Friends of Israel Initiative)

Apparently ‘We are Synonomous’ is multi-faith who counter the boycott and protest activities of anti-Israel groups who try to shut down stores and businesses that do business with Israel or carry Israeli-made goods. ‘We are Synonomous’ says,
ReplyDeleteIf you threaten to boycott an Israeli Business, we will move in and make them profitable, whether we need what they are selling, or not.
We are the people of God.
We are the people that seek to end anti-Semitism.
We are the people that hid the Jews from the Nazis.
We are the churches.
We are the synagogues.
We are synonymous.
Expect us.
Thanks for sharing this!
Delete"Synonomous" also has a video about Lavan and I think that big kudos go to Shanie Bar of Levan for successfully fighting BDS. There is a FB page: We are All Shanie Bar Oz.
Jean Patrick Grumberg tells the following story here;
ReplyDeletehttp://www.dreuz.info/2012/03/30-mars-journee-internationale-de-lutte-contre-le-boycott-des-produits-israeliens/
Briefly translated;
Last year a Canadian shoe shop, selling Israel-made shoes was the target of a violent
Campaign by the BDS who tried thus to force him into banquerotte should he not take off jewish products from his shop.
One morning a woman came with a journaliste and bought 3000 Euros worth of shoes which alle distributed to charities. The next day, hundreds of Canadiens started buying shoes from this shop in solidarity with the shop owner who did not bow to the black mail. Neither the shop owner nor the customer who bought all those shoes and started this wave of support were jewish.
whoops;
ReplyDeleteI meant to say : bankruptcy (not 'banquerotte'.
I followed this story. Vlad Tepes covered it extensively.
ReplyDeleteCanadians, apart from the rat bags at York University are in the main pro-Israel.
