Eretz Israel is our unforgettable historic homeland...The Jews who will it shall achieve their State...And whatever we attempt there for our own benefit will redound mightily and beneficially to the good of all mankind. (Theodor Herzl, DerJudenstaat, 1896)

We offer peace and amity to all the neighbouring states and their peoples, and invite them to cooperate with the independent Jewish nation for the common good of all. The State of Israel is ready to contribute its full share to the peaceful progress and development of the Middle East.
(From Proclamation of the State of Israel, 5 Iyar 5708; 14 May 1948)

With a liberal democratic political system operating under the rule of law, a flourishing market economy producing technological innovation to the benefit of the wider world, and a population as educated and cultured as anywhere in Europe or North America, Israel is a normal Western country with a right to be treated as such in the community of nations.... For the global jihad, Israel may be the first objective. But it will not be the last. (Friends of Israel Initiative)

In America, Interfaith "Bridge Building" Imam Praises Soleimani, Slams Israel

According to a 2014 post on his apparently now discontinued blog here, Shi'ite Imam Ibrahim Kazerooni, born in 1958 in the city of Al-Najaf in southern Iraq, completed his theological studies in Iran and his secular studies in England.

He afterwards went to live in the United States, where he was
"the former Director of the Abrahamic Initiative Program at St. John Cathedral in Denver. Currently he serves as a member of the Board of Religious advisers to the Denver Police.
He has received a number of awards for his bridge building and peace initiative, including, Faith to Faith Award for interfaith works. (2007), Martin Luther King Award for services in peace building (2007), the “Iliff/D.U Joint Ph.D. Award for Community Service(2007), and Honored with Congressional Record for working to end the war in Iraq. (2004) ...."
Fast foreward to 2020, and this paragon of interfaith harmony has been caught on video by Memri.org (whose YouTube site has, I believe, yet again been taken down by YouTube) in a speech on 3 Janiary at the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn, Michigan eulogising Qasem Soleimani and deploring his death, along with that of PMU Deputy Chairman Abu Mahdi] Al-Muhandis:
'... He led a prayer for the souls of Soleimani and Al-Muhandis  and told the congregation that Soleimani had "brought hope to the marginalized [and] hatred and fear to the enemies of Islam." He explained that Soleimani had been instrumental in keeping the Syrian regime in power despite American and Zionist attempts to destabilize it, in defending Iraq against ISIS alongside the PMU, and in ultimately defeating ISIS in Iraq, which Sheikh Kazerooni described as the "extended arm of American foreign policy." He cited several examples from Islamic literature that speak of martyrdom as a virtuous act and added: "Let's wait and see what happens next."'

Loving Jihad, Hating Jews & Infidels: A New York mufti tells (video)

Last year Philadelphia-born Mufti Muhammad Ibn Muneer told his faithful:
'that a martyr killed fighting for Allah holds the highest status of martyrdom, and that Muslims should never apologize for speaking the truth about Jihad, the Jews, and the Christians. Ibn Muneer explained that while there are different types of martyrs in Islam, one should not confuse any of them with the martyr who was killed in battle, who holds the highest status of martyrdom. He warned the audience not to treat lesser forms of Jihad, such as seeking knowledge and giving da'wa, as if they are equal to fighting for the sake of Allah.
Ibn Muneer said that when a Muslim makes a comment about Christians or Jews, such as saying that the Jews have earned Allah's wrath, he may face repercussions such as being called an extremist or terrorist. He explained that some people might say that videos on those topics should be taken down or made private, but that there is no need to apologize for the truth, and he asked: "What's next?... When does it stop, the neutering of the Muslim?" He also said that trying to remove Jihad from the Quran and the Sunnah is like "removing sweetness from honey." He added: "Your feelings have no value [or] worth in light of the Quran and Sunnah. If you don't believe and understand that, then maybe Islam is not the religion for you."...' [Emphasis added]

Here he is again. last year and this, telling his faithful how to deal with Jews and "kuffars".

To quote the uploader, Memri.org:
'In a Q&A session uploaded to the Hadith Disciple YouTube channel on January 31, 2018, New York cleric Mufti Muhammad Ibn Muneer said that there are different ways of dealing with different types of Jews.
He cited the Islamic principle of Al-Bara Wal-Wala (disavowal and loyalty), which he says is, as "explained by Ibn Al-Qayyim and many others... simply summed up as loving the Muslims and hating the non-Muslims... Buddhist, Hindu, this, that, so on and so forth."
He underlined that if his Jewish neighbor is "trying to do me physical harm... I have the right to defend myself."
He continued: "Look at history" when Jews and Muslims lived together and "the Muslims ran the country [and] the Jews were the minority.... The moment there is oppression" – that's "a whole different story."
In a Q&A session uploaded a year later, on January 31, 2019, he expanded on the subject, saying that a Muslim cannot maintain a close relationship with infidels with whom he had been friends prior to accepting Islam and that Muslims cannot treat non-Muslim as friends.
They may be treated with respect and friendliness in order to invite them to Islam, he said, but only a pious Muslim is worthy of a close, trusting friendship.
He added that it may be Islamically impermissible to wear soccer jerseys that have the names of non-Muslims or that contain symbols of something other than Islam, and that buying designer clothing might be supporting homosexuals or people who are bombing Muslims in Palestine.' [Emphasis added]

American Sheikh: "We All Have a Higher Goal ... the Establishment of the Caliphate"

That's the view expressed at the end of January byAmerican Sheik Omar Baloch, whose views on Zionists, Freemasons, and other matters can be discerned from his YouTube channel here

To quote MemriTV, the uploader of the above,
'On January 29, 2019, Illinois-based Sheikh Omar Baloch uploaded a video titled "Constructive Criticism of Islamic Relief Organizations" to his YouTube channel. In the video, Baloch said that Islamic relief organizations do not place enough emphasis on the establishment of an Islamic caliphate as the long-term solution to humanitarian problems.
He said that the problem is that many Islamic organizations are scared to lose funding if they are too vocal about the establishment of a caliphate, and he criticized them because they "wear the garb of [piety]" by providing aid, but they do not call out the “forces of injustice,” for which they are serving as a “bandage.” He said that such organizations should use their platform to convey a message about the common dream, legacy, and hope of Muslims, and he elaborated: "We all have a higher goal… that is bigger than us, and that is the establishment of the caliphate."
According to the Facebook page of the Furqaan Institute of Quranic Education (FIQE), Sheikh Omar Baloch was born in Chicago and is the scholar in residence at the Al-Furqaan Foundation, of which FIQE is a division. The Facebook page also says that Baloch studied at Georgetown University, at Al-Azhar University in Egypt, at Jamia Thul Ahlul Hadith in Pakistan.'  [Emphasis added]

Two Interesting Videos

This video shows the IDF treating wounded Syrian fighters, proof yet again of the essential humanity of Israel:

This American video might strike some people as over-strong, but it's undeniably pertinent to current events:

"Political Correctness Will Kill The West": An Israeli Scholar's Warning To America (videos)

Here's Israeli academic Dr Mordechai Kedar, an Arab studies specialist celebrated for his tough talking about the history and status of Jerusalem (see, for instance, here), talking in the United States a few months ago, and stressing that although many in America are oblivious, the jihadism that's pitted against Israel ("Israel is surrounded by jihadists") is also targetting the United States ("The war is not only on Israel; the war is also here" and what has been happening in Europe will be replicated in America, which is lagging fifteen years behind Europe).  In the second video he explains the concept of immigrarion in Islam, which he says is carried out "inch by inch, town by town" in order to impose Islam on the host countries; "If America does not watch it, it will be in the situation Europe is today," and within the lifetimes of most people now living.  If Israel is "sacrificed to appease the crocodile," the crocodile will be ever more hungry.  And unless the Western birthrate rises, we will sentence our civilisation to oblivion :

This is a must-heed speech!
Note, incidentally, his remarks regarding the necessity for Middle East-based journalists to be familiar with the languages of the area (Jeremy Bowen, that includes you, mate!) ...

"The Difference Between Arab Culture & Israeli Culture Is The Difference Between Barbarism & Civilisation": Brigitte Gabriel Praises Israel & Warns Of Islamic Radicalism (video)

In this spell-binding speech, the well-known Lebanese-born American writer Brigitte Gabriel, addressing a Jewish audience  in California some months ago, gives a graphic account of the destruction of her idyllic childhood and her beloved Lebanon by Islamic radicalism, and warmly praises Israel and Israelis - citing the "love and compassion" that she saw there, not only towards her and her mother as Christians, but towards Muslim Palestinians.

She stresses that, in the world today, most Muslims are not radical jihadists.  Nevertheless, she cautions, the radical minority comprise perhaps 15 to 25% (some 300 million people).  The USA has been infiltrated by Al Quaeda, Islamic Jihad, and (especially) Hamas. Listen as she reels off the names of the cities in which Hamas cells (disguised) operate! She warns of the indoctrination by Saudi Arabian influences of most of the mosques in America. She calls the universities "Occuped Territories" because they are being infiltrated by anti-Israel Saudi-funded centres and professors.

She warns that political correctness and multiculturalism is set to make Americans lose their freedom, and observes that "tolerating intolerance is a crime".  And she implores the Muslim majority to speak out loud and clear against the radical minority, for a war for survival is being waged.

Meanwhile, across the Herring Pond, a party called the British Freedom Party has been formed (though don't look for information about it on the BBC).  In this interview with the Canadian broadcaster Michael Coren (hat tip: reader Shirlee) its leader, the urbane and (dare I add!) photogenic Paul Weston, describes it as "centre" rather than "rightwing".  He observes that the Muslim population of Britain doubles every ten years, warns that given this trend bloc votes might elect Islamists to Westminster, and laments the failure, through fear, of non-radical Muslims to speak out against the radicals.
