Eretz Israel is our unforgettable historic homeland...The Jews who will it shall achieve their State...And whatever we attempt there for our own benefit will redound mightily and beneficially to the good of all mankind. (Theodor Herzl, DerJudenstaat, 1896)

We offer peace and amity to all the neighbouring states and their peoples, and invite them to cooperate with the independent Jewish nation for the common good of all. The State of Israel is ready to contribute its full share to the peaceful progress and development of the Middle East.
(From Proclamation of the State of Israel, 5 Iyar 5708; 14 May 1948)

With a liberal democratic political system operating under the rule of law, a flourishing market economy producing technological innovation to the benefit of the wider world, and a population as educated and cultured as anywhere in Europe or North America, Israel is a normal Western country with a right to be treated as such in the community of nations.... For the global jihad, Israel may be the first objective. But it will not be the last. (Friends of Israel Initiative)

David Singer: Trump’s Bolton Appointment Signals Curtains for Abbas and PLO

Here's the latest article by Sydney lawyer and international affairs analyst David Singer.

He writes:

President Trump’s appointment of John Bolton as National Security Adviser flags the possibility that the centrepiece of Trump’s eagerly-awaited “ultimate deal” could involve the subdivision of Judea and Samaria (“the West Bank”) and Gaza between Israel, Jordan and Egypt.

Such tripartite negotiations would replace the stale-mated Israeli-Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) negotiations – begun in 1993 until suspended in 2014 following a PLO walk-out – at the stage where:
1. The PLO was demanding a new Palestinian Arab State with Jerusalem as its capital in 100% of the West Bank and Gaza (“disputed territories”) for the first time in recorded history – which was unacceptable to Israel.
2. Offers by Israel in 2000/2001 and 2007 to cede its claims to sovereignty in about 95% of the disputed territories had been rejected by the PLO.
3. The 1993 Oslo Accords had seen the West Bank divided into three Areas - “A”, “B’ and “C”:
· “A” (18%) - under total PLO administrative and security control.
· “B” (22%) - under total PLO administrative control and joint Israel-PLO security control
· “C” (60%) - under total Israeli administrative and security control
4. Israel and the PLO had been negotiating the final status of the disputed territories under President Bush’s 2003 Roadmap – endorsed by the United Nations, the European Union and Russia.
President Bush had given Israel written commitments on 14 April 2004 – overwhelmingly endorsed by the US Congress – to support Israel’s unilateral withdrawal from Gaza – which Israel honoured in 2005. America committed it would not expect Israel to withdraw from 100% of the disputed territories.
5. Hamas had governed Gaza since 2007 – as Egypt had between 1948 and 1967.
Abbas and the PLO have recently:
1. Rejected considering any future Trump proposals following Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital
2. Declared the Oslo Accords “dead”.
Enter Trump-appointee John Bolton into this Israel-PLO standoff – as President Trump ponders how to fill this negotiating void.

Bolton has an answer  – provided with amazing prescience on 5 January 2009 in his Washington Post article headlined “The Three-State Solution”:
“Let's start by recognizing that trying to create a Palestinian Authority from the old PLO has failed and that any two-state solution based on the PA is stillborn. Hamas has killed the idea, and even the Holy Land is good for only one resurrection. Instead, we should look to a "three-state" approach, where Gaza is returned to Egyptian control and the West Bank in some configuration reverts to Jordanian sovereignty. Among many anomalies, today's conflict lies within the boundaries of three states nominally at peace. Having the two Arab states re-extend their prior political authority is an authentic way to extend the zone of peace and, more important, build on governments that are providing peace and stability in their own countries. "International observers" or the like cannot come close to what is necessary; we need real states with real security forces.”
Bolton still retains these views – telling Eric Shawn on 21 January 2018:
“I hope at some point the Administration recognizes and perhaps it is already quietly – that the two-state solution isn’t going anywhere. If anything I would say to King Abdullah of Jordan – “Be prepared to reassert Jordanian sovereignty over part of the West Bank – negotiate with Israel”. I think that’s a far better outcome than the continued pursuit of a mythical – I believe – unattainable viable Palestinian state”
Saudi Arabia’s backing can be anticipated.

Bolton’s appointment is shaping up as yet another Trump-inspired circuit breaker.

Trump’s decision to accept Bolton’s advice would spell curtains for Abbas and the PLO and give Trump the momentum he needs to get meaningful Israel-Arab negotiations started.

David Singer: Trump can end Israel-PLO impasse using India’s Vedanta Solution

Image: http://www.ndtv.com
Here's the latest article by Sydney lawyer and international affairs analyst David Singer.

He writes:

The first state visit ever to Israel by an Indian prime minister – Narendra Modi – could generate the impetus President Trump needs to end the diplomatic void caused by the breakdown in negotiations between Israel and the PLO since 2014.

The obvious warmth, mutual admiration and friendship shared by Modi and Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was clearly evident – contrasting with the hostility, acrimony and venom shown to Israel that has become the norm at the United Nations, UNESCO and UNHRC.

Israel has historically had a long love affair with India’s Vedanta Movement (also known as the Ramakrishna Movement) – a worldwide spiritual movement headquartered near Kolkota in West Bengal.

Vedanta wishes and prays for the well-being, happiness and enlightenment of all the people of the world.

Writing on Modi’s visit, Khinvraj Jangid pointed out that Israel’s first Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion:
'… wrote, in September 1957, to Dr. Indra Sen (of the Aurobindo Ashram) praising the distinctive Indian approach to religion: "From Buddhism I have learned much about the history of religion and philosophy in India in general – and after I was enchanted by the Vedanta I began the study of the schools of Sankhya and Yoga. In his bedroom in the Negev kibbutz of Sde Boker, there was only one leader’s portrait: Gandhi’s.”'
Modi himself reportedly attended a comprehensive course studying Vedanta.

Vedanta’s views on peace in the Middle East (“the Vedanta Solution”) were published in The Times of London on 16 March 1982 (see image below) by Vedanta’s British Chairman Swami Avyaktananda:
“It is generally not known that the East Bank [of the Jordan River – ed] was a part of ancient Palestine and when Britain obtained the Mandate for Palestine, the League of Nations included it in Palestine”
Swami Avyaktananda quoted as his sources:
· Two maps in the 14th edition of Encyclopaedia Britannica (1929)
· J.F. Horrabin’s map on page 64 of The Life of Jesus by Conrad Noel (1937) · The map of Palestine on page 18 of “A Short History of the Hebrews” by B.K. Rattey (1931)
· 2 Sam ii
 The Swami continued:
'The major portion of Jordan today is really East Palestine, the country on the other side of the Jordan being West Palestine. The handing-over of the territory east of the Jordan River to the Emir Abdullah was, to all intents and purposes, the first partition of Palestine [in 1946 – ed.]through which a large portion of Palestine [78% - ed.] went to Arab hands. This partition was not considered when the United Nations framed the Plan of partition of Palestine into Jewish Palestine and Arab Palestine [in 1947 – ed.].
If the Palestine Liberation Organisation accepts the historical facts presented here, considers sympathetically the Jewish aspirations and struggle for the National Home, National Language and National Culture for about 2000 years, and agrees to rethink the problems of the Middle East with goodwill and understanding then the problem of the Middle East will be solved without difficulty. The whole of ancient Palestine will be shared by Jews and Arabs through an amicable settlement if the Palestinian National Home is established in the East Bank of the Jordan. It can be called “New Palestine” and this naming will be quite correct.'
The PLO, Jordan and Israel can cooperatively implement the Vedanta Solution  – extended to incorporate the allocation of sovereignty in Judea and Samaria (West Bank) between Jordan and Israel – or Jordan and Israel can so act jointly if the PLO refuses to participate.

Embracing the two-State Vedanta Solution – with Modi as a possible interlocutor – could be the Trojan Horse President Trump needs to broker a deal to end the Arab-Jewish conflict.

On Declaring the Muslim Brotherhood a Terrorist Organization

Image from HERE
"President Trump is considering designating the global Muslim Brotherhood organization as terrorist. It’s about time.
Two days before he signed the Executive Order on “Protecting the Nation from Terrorist Attacks by Foreign Nationals, the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) began organizing nationwide protests against the anticipated order, which the mischaracterized the suspension of U.S. visas to Muslim refugees and travelers from only seven out of fifty Muslim-majority countries, as a “ban.” CAIR was immediately joined by progressive Left organizations that protested the election of Donald Trump as President. Thus Left-leaning ill-informed organizations, CEOs of tech companies (How many of their employees are immigrants, or Work-Visa holders from Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen?)  and Democratic-run-States joined forces with MB-affiliated groups to undermine the power of the President and the security of the nation...."

So begins Rachel Ehrenfeld's long, informative, and important article on the Brotherhood and its on-going mischief,  for which click here

"A Killer is Coming to Town" (videos) (Updated)

In Old London Town, more public ventilating by the anti-Israel brigade.

First, in this video by our old mate Alex Seymour/Seymour Alexander:

Now, complete with an introduction invoking Holocaust Memorial Day, this venomous anti-Trump, anti-Netanyahu speech by bling-wearing socialist David Rosenberg, one of the Jewish Socialists associated with that odious Roll of Shame I blogged about earlier:

Hear that appreciative crowd roar!

Funny peculiar (not funny ha ha) that those who use sexism as a stick with which to beat Donald Trump, and who loudly affirm their opposition to"fascism," overlook the institutionalised misogyny of Islam and the threats to society posed by Islamofascism.  Innit.

Update: Footage from the Israel Advocacy Movement.  Those guys at the end, singing Hatikvah and flaunting the Israeli flag with a flourish, I like the cut of their jib!

"Here's some footage from yesterday's anti-Israel protest. Gone are the days when thousands of antisemites would parade down Whitehall screaming for the destruction of Israel. These days the best they can rustle up is a few ageing leftists, outraged idiots and antisemitic Islamists to scream (in a barely audible tone) for the destruction of Israel.Europe is waking up to the truth that the left's obsession with Israel is antisemitic. This dear PSC, is why your ranks were swelled by "ageing" leftists - you're an antisemitic relic from another generation. Your obsessive hatred of the world's only Jewish state does not wash with the younger generation... we see through your bigoted propaganda. We would like to thank Sussex Friends Of Israel and the ZF UK - Zionist Federation for organising such a successful welcoming for the Prime Minister of Israel on such short notice. We would also like to thank the Palestine Solidarity Campaign for yet again showing us their true colours."

I Thought I Saw A Pussy Hat

Well, actually, I know I did, at the end of the brief footage here:

Donning hijabs in Washington.  Proclaiming a certain well-known Islamic supremacist phrase in Berlin.  (As we saw here).

Staying shtum on Islamic crimes against girls and women, including the ongoing torment of the Yazidi females captured as sex slaves (good article on that theme here).

That's Soros's Sorority and its fellow travellers for you.

What a lot of crazy mixed up kids these radical anti-Trump feminists are.  (Et tu, Madeleine?)

Red Caps, Pussy Hats, & Greens Leader Pippa on the "Rothchilds" Again

First, the red caps.

They're what the smart gals in Yemen's capital, Sanaa, have been wearing on top of their niqabs, while taking part in a mass parade and military display in support of the Houthi movement.   Brandishing weapons, this chapter of the Israel-hating Sisterhood  chanted: "Death to America! Death to Israel! A curse upon the Jews!"

Memri.org video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ktp4ZVtHymY  The parade was broadcast on the Yemeni Al-Masirah TV channel on 17 January this year.)
Second, the "pussy hats".

They're the specially knitted pink or red chapeaux with the little pointed ears that anti-Trump feministas (who typically say not one word of condemnation of Islamic misogyny but, rather, tend to be in the forefront of the Useful Idiot and anti-Israel movement) have been sporting at anti-Trump marches this weekend.

Why didn't these women march in support of the sexually assaulted women of Cologne in January last year?   Against the Muslim youths who have made Sweden the rape capital of Europe?  Against the truly benighted patriarchal attitudes that Islam is introducing into Europe?

The hats can be seen at this march in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where the crowd is at least seemingly good natured (the video bears last year's date in error).

How nauseating yet utterly predictable, given the Left's proven track record of hypocritical absurdity, to see, here, "Hanoi Jane" smiling approvingly at Miley Cyrus, whose obscene stage acts have done more to degrade women and perpetuate the "sex object" stereotype than Trump's admittedly appalling adolescent-level lewd boastings have!

Crazy feministas making hijabs for themselves (out of the American flag):

Malevolent madness in Merkeland: at Berlin march an anti-Trump feminist intones a certain Islamist supremacy phrase while other feminists listen enraptured!:

One of the gung-ho "protesters from around the world" is British Greens politician Pippa Bartolotti, who's taken part in the march in Cardiff.

But demonstrating against Trump is not all Pippa has been getting up to in the past few days.

She's had a go at the "Rothchilds" again.  Remember last time, in November, regarding the US election?

Now, in linking to a video:

The response:

Time to defriend such antisemites, Your Ladyship. After all, you're not an antisemite yourself.  Are you?

Kol Hakavod!

JFK, LBJ and Clinton were "unqualified" by the same criteria!
'As we enter 2017, the legacy of the year gone by gives us little room the be comforted. In the so-called "Brexit" referendum, in the rise and strengthening of fascist parties in France and Italy, and in the election of Donald Trump as president of the United States, we have witnessed events that should generate within any student of history - let alone a Jewish student of history - a sense of foreboding.
While I believe we should be careful not to make exaggerated comparisons with 1930s Europe, the return of white supremacy and minority scapegoating should rightly concern us all.'

Thus wrote a senior Australian rabbi in an op-ed piece in the Australian Jewish News a fortnight ago that made Trump and support for Trump the main focus of his ire, and attributed a dark racist motive to ordinary men and women who are thoroughly fed up with the duplicity and stupidity of the political elites whose enactments and attitudes are eroding traditional freedoms and putting in jeopardy the Western way of life.

I can only suppose that the above-quoted rabbi, along with certain rabbis in the United States who  expressed similar views, and decried the Simon Wiesenthal Center's Rabbi Marvin Hier's agreement  to recite a prayer at the presidential inauguration, are ignorant of the external and internal dangers Western societies face and view the world not as it actually is but how they would like it to be.

They seem unwilling or unable to grasp the fact that today's fascists and antisemites are drawn largely from sources other than the far right.  (Indeed, we see Leftist fascism in action, with the outbreaks of violence and hooliganism in America that greeted Trump's swearing in.)

How very heartwarming it was that Rabbi Marvin Hier not only spurned calls for him by certain wet liberal co-religionists to boycott the ceremony but based his prayer upon Psalm 137, with its overt references to Zion and Jerusalem.

Hamas Leader on "Possible Jew" Trump & "Jewish Money" (video)

Melanie Phillips on Trump's Triumph (video)

Melanie Phillips, calling Trump's triumph "a kind of populist revolution," inter alia defends him from perceptions of antisemitism and racism, likening the present outrage on the part of the left to the smears of "xenophobia" and "racism" that dogged pro-Brexit voters determined to preserve their culture and restrict illegal immigration.  Historian Simon Schama takes issue ... but Melanie reminds him of the terrible antisemitism on the part of leftists that has exploded under "respectable" non-controversial administrations ...

A Blight of Ostriches

The Ostrich in Rome's Pope's denial that Islam is not engaged in a religious war with the West has of course been received with delight by weaklings, quislings, and fellow-ostriches everywhere.

His assertion that

"It's not right to identify Islam with violence. It's not right and it's not true. I believe that in every religion there is always a little fundamentalist group....If I speak of Islamic violence, then I have to speak of Catholic violence"

has, as the BBC reports (the approval of his remarks by the leftist  broadcaster being, nonetheless, almost tangible, in its counter-examples), outraged many members of said Ostrich's Pope's own flock, with the hashtag #PasMonPape trending in the land where the aged Father Jacques Hamel was mercilessly done to death last week.

Unimpressed by his interpretation of the present conflict, the boys from Isis have issued a blunt message for His Holiness, though given his proclivities, it's unlikely to stop him turning a blind eye as well as the other cheek.

This foolish, dangerous man seems unwittingly bent on making the requiem for Father Jacques the requiem for us all.

(Update: Don't miss Professor Denis MacEoin's new article "The Pope and Holy War" here)

And of course the Pope is not the only opinion leader in the West, clerical or lay, who refuses to see the enemy, much less see the enemy's designs for what they are.

Contrast this proudly straight-talking guy regarding the future of Europe!

The anti-Trump brigade will (try to) have a field day with this!

"What happened, Angela?":

Meanwhile, re Hillary...

Important message:

Support the Gatestone Institute (https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/contribute.php):
"What is the response of the American and European leadership to our new reality? Denial, word games and silence. And verbal attacks on citizens who insist on talking openly about the threats we face. They call us "Islamophobic," "xenophobic," or "racist" to try to silence us....Western governments have been successfully working with social media giants such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Microsoft to censor what they call "hate speech" – meaning any criticism of extremist Islam and illegal mass migration. In some European countries, the police are interrogating citizens for social media posts that are critical of the effects of unchecked migration. At a time when Facebook has censored, blocked or removed Gatestone's material, we refuse to be silenced; we continue to publish our carefully researched, accurate articles and video productions."
(This organisation, about which I have blogged several times,  must not be allowed to silence free speech regarding the Islamic threat:
