Eretz Israel is our unforgettable historic homeland...The Jews who will it shall achieve their State...And whatever we attempt there for our own benefit will redound mightily and beneficially to the good of all mankind. (Theodor Herzl, DerJudenstaat, 1896)

We offer peace and amity to all the neighbouring states and their peoples, and invite them to cooperate with the independent Jewish nation for the common good of all. The State of Israel is ready to contribute its full share to the peaceful progress and development of the Middle East.
(From Proclamation of the State of Israel, 5 Iyar 5708; 14 May 1948)

With a liberal democratic political system operating under the rule of law, a flourishing market economy producing technological innovation to the benefit of the wider world, and a population as educated and cultured as anywhere in Europe or North America, Israel is a normal Western country with a right to be treated as such in the community of nations.... For the global jihad, Israel may be the first objective. But it will not be the last. (Friends of Israel Initiative)

Wobbily Warbling To The Wall: More BDS Wassailing in Sydney

A familiar flytilla/flotilla Jewish face here (just as well that there appear to be no references to Jesus in the lyrics, then, eh?) in this snippet of mainly elderly choristers wobbily warbling alternate lyrics to a well-known carol outside Max Brenner in Sydney.  Perhaps someone should set Ron Prosor's speech (see my previous post for the text, and Michelle Huberman's new Jerusalem Post blog here, which includes a video) to music.  It deserves a larger audience ... indeed, a larger audience than these diehard BDSers seem to be getting.

(Hat tip: reader Shirlee)
I also have to thank Shirlee for this update: the demonising words to the alternative carols.  Nauseating.

  2. "Nauseating" is the right word, Daphne.

And, would someone pleeeeease donate a chador (the full catastrophe, whatever it's called) to the fleshy one with her exposed shoulders, I would like to enjoy my wonderful Brenner chocolate without having my aesthetic senses offended so. The aural damage is enough already! Pffffft

Not a single pedestrian engaged, not a single mind changed.
    Priceless...and pathetic

The best bit about all these videos is watching passersby hurry past desperate not to make eye contact with the freak show.

  4. Yes, Ian - the young woman at the end, looking at her mobile phone as she hastens past, is the favourite part of the video for me!
