Eretz Israel is our unforgettable historic homeland...The Jews who will it shall achieve their State...And whatever we attempt there for our own benefit will redound mightily and beneficially to the good of all mankind. (Theodor Herzl, DerJudenstaat, 1896)

We offer peace and amity to all the neighbouring states and their peoples, and invite them to cooperate with the independent Jewish nation for the common good of all. The State of Israel is ready to contribute its full share to the peaceful progress and development of the Middle East.
(From Proclamation of the State of Israel, 5 Iyar 5708; 14 May 1948)

With a liberal democratic political system operating under the rule of law, a flourishing market economy producing technological innovation to the benefit of the wider world, and a population as educated and cultured as anywhere in Europe or North America, Israel is a normal Western country with a right to be treated as such in the community of nations.... For the global jihad, Israel may be the first objective. But it will not be the last. (Friends of Israel Initiative)

"Why Does the Obama Administration Treat Israel Like A Punching Bag?": Emergency Committee For Israel

Yesterday, the following full-page advertisement by the Emergency Committee for Israel appeared in the New York Times, the Miami Herald, the Palm Beach Post, the Las Vegas Review-Journal, and Variety.  ECI chair William Kristol said: “The Obama administration has been using Israel as a punching bag. The pro-Israel wing of the pro-Israel community is punching back.

  1. Obama at the bank

Barack Obama walks into the bank to cash a check. "Good morning,
Ma'am," he greets the cashier, "could you please cash this check for
    me?"

"It would be my pleasure, sir. Could you please show me your ID?"

"Truthfully, I did not bring my ID with me as I didn't think there
was any need to. I am President Barack Obama, the president of the
    United States of America !"

"Yes, sir, I know who you are, but with all the regulations,
monitoring of the banks because of impostors and forgers, etc, I must
    insist on seeing ID."

"Just ask anyone here at the bank who I am and they will tell you.
    Everybody knows who I am!

"I am sorry Mr. President but these are the bank rules and I must follow them."

"I am urging you please to cash this check."

"Ok, this is what we can do Mr. President: One day Tiger Woods came
into the bank without ID. To prove he was Tiger Woods he pulled out
his putting iron and made a beautiful shot across the bank into a cup.
With that shot we knew him to be Tiger Woods and cashed his check.
Another time, Andre Agassi came in without ID. He pulled out his
tennis racquet and made a fabulous shot, making the tennis ball land
in my cup. With that spectacular shot we cashed his check. So, Mr.
President, what can you do to prove that it is you, and only you, as
the president of the United States ?"

Obama stands there thinking and finally says, "Honestly, there is
nothing that comes to my mind. I can't think of a single thing I'm
    good at."

"Will that be large or small bills, Mr. President?"

  2. OTOH Obama claims his support for Israel is beyond dispute. Obama reiterates support for Israel

    Is he lying, delusional, correct?

  3. If I recall correctly, Isi Leibler in the Shalom TV interview I posted recently referred to him as "indifferent" to Israel...

  4. Obama is not indifferent to Israel, he is strongly pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel. He comes off as "indifferent" because he lacks the courage of his convictions to forthrightly and truthfully take a stand. Instead, he makes baseless claims of support for Israel, disrespects the PM Netanyahu, and asks his staff, Panetta and Clinton to espouse his Administration's true views and policy.

That Obama is a liar is proven. His lies and his contempt for Israel have rendered the US ineffective and incompetent in dealing with the Middle East.

  5. I can't understand why American Jews still vote for him, despite the tradition of voting Democrat.
Hopefully he'll be a one termer.

  6. Depending upon the Republican ticket, Obama might actually win regardless of how American Jews vote. Why will those liberal Jews vote for him again? Many reasons, but for the same reasons the Israeli left is so obnoxious and wrong; because they think their liberal principles will vaccinate them against their history and innoculate them from who they really are and where they came from.

BTW - this blog is outstanding. Thank you for all your hard work.

probably for the same reasons that self-proclaimed "feminists" support cultures that treat "their" women no better than they treat "their" cattle, cultures which practice paedophilia in its worst forms eg child brides, children indoctrinated to become suicide bombers etc.: Their soi-disant "Left" ideologies are more important to them than REAL human rights, protection of the defenseless, decency, freedom.

  9. Rita, that's kind of you - I appreciate it!

Of course, American Jews have always mainly voted Democrat...

I share your cynicism about the "feminists" who are so indifferent to the sufferings of women in benighted cultures.
