"The New Antisemitism" In Action In London (videos)

Recently, in London, examples of what the Chief Rabbi terms "The New Antisemitism." in inglorious action.

First (and this is surely relevant to the demonisers' absurd decision to send a petition to the BBC mentioned in my previous post), a demo last month outside the BBC's premises, with "Jews for Justice for Palestinians" giving aid and comfort to those who want Israel eliminated. Note the despicable comparison of Gaza to Auschwitz ...

Also last month, a noisy protest outside the Wigmore Hall protesting the appearance of the Jerusalem Quartet. Regular BDSer-watchers might note a not unfamiliar Irish voice raised against Israel ...

In Oz, Aid & Comfort For The Enemy At Balaclava: Jewish Fringe Groups Attack The JNF

Balaclava Railway Station lies in the heart of Jewish Melbourne, in Carlisle Street.

Like a number of thoroughfares in the district, Balaclava is a neighbourhood named after battles in the Crimean War, which was a very recent memory when the district, some miles beyond central Melbourne (founded in 1835) was being developed and settled.

The other day, a vicious flyer was handed out during a rally at the station, held jointly by the Melbourne cell of a fringe group known as Jews Against The Occupation (of which Sydney flotilla/flytilla activist and occasional PressTV interviewee Vivienne Porzsolt is undoubtedly the best-known (some would say "notorious" representative) in conjunction with an apparently new group called Jews Against The JNF (pictured here with the BDS crowd last September).

The flyers, choc-a-bloc with the usual tropes against Israel, call for "the charity status of the JNF to be revoked in Australia" and "for Australians to break ties with the JNF".

Although at first glance some people might find the platform of Jews Against The Occupation laudable, its platform demands the Right of Return to the so-called Palestinian Refugees, which if enacted would of course spell the end of the State of Israel. Needless to say, there is nothing in the platform about a reciprocal right, or compensation, for the Jews who fled from or were forced out of Arab countries, the "Jewish Nakba" which, thanks to people such as the talented person behind the Point of No Return Blog, is beginning to receive the publicity it deserves.

Jews Against The JNF are equally blinkered, indeed mischievous. "The JNF-KKL [Keren Kayemet LeIsrael] continues to serve as a global fundraiser for for Israeli ethnic cleansing. occupation and apartheid," they inveigh, thus echoing some of the most treacherous canards made against the Jewish State.

Let's hope Jewish youngsters in Australia manage to withstand the propaganda of such groups, unlike some Jewish youngsters in Britain (even pupils of Jewish day schools), on whom a constant drip drip of anti-Israel demonisation in the media is having a deleterious effect, and are being led astray by pernicious but plausible slurs and falsehoods.

For, as its Chief Executive Officer argues here, the campaign against the JNF(and of course the UK Greens are part of it) is misplaced.

"Where Is The Outcry When Arabs Build Illegally On JNF-Owned Land?"

That's a question asked by Michelle Huberman, a UK-based Jerusalem Post blogger, in an interesting piece about the Jewish National Fund (and other things).

"How many people," she asks,

"know that the JNF lays claim to 73,974 dunams in southern Syria ...? The earliest purchase was made in the 1880s when it was under Ottoman rule. Surely they should have been demanding compensation from the Syrian government? Maybe if this had come to public attention, it could have been negotiated for the Palestinian refugees that the Syrian government have allowed to fester and more recently mobilised to storm Israel's borders.

The same in Lebanon: 4,000 dunams....

Where is the outcry when Arabs build illegally on JNF-owned land? There is an extremely tangled web of Jewish ownership in Arab areas. There are hundreds of thousands of Arab squatters in 'Arab east Jerusalem' who live on land still owned by the Jewish National Fund....

.... In total 145,976 dunams of Jewish land is said to have come under Jordanian control....

Another 16,684.421 dunams of Jewish land in the rural West Bank - including the Gush Etzion settlements, land between Nablus, Jenin and Tulkarm, and in Bethlehem and Hebron - were seized by the Jordanians after 1948...."

Expose The Lies!

There is a war of lies and deceit on the internet generating unbelievable hate by denigrating and delegitimising the legal rights conferred on the Jewish people by the League of Nations in 1922 and the United Nations in 1945. The idea that there are two narratives on the Arab-Jewish conflict is rubbish. There is only one – the factual truth that details the return of the Jewish people to reconstitute the Jewish National Home in its ancient biblical, ancestral and historic homeland after 3500 years of dispersion with the unanimous endorsement of the nation states then comprising the League of Nations.... The "Apartheid" Slur

The division of Judea and Samaria (West Bank) into three separate areas “A”, “B” and “C” was agreed on by Israel and the PLO pursuant to the Oslo Accords.
95% of the West Bank Arabs live in Areas A and B and their daily lives are under the total administration and control of the PLO since the Palestinian Authority was disbanded by Abbas in January 2013. The PLO has total security control in A and shares security control in B with Israel. Israel has total administrative and security control in C.
Israel is entitled to and will continue to take responsibility for the security of Jews living in the West Bank.
Jews were given the legal right to settle in the West Bank under article 6 of the Mandate for Palestine and article 80 of the UN Charter. They did so for decades until they were driven out in 1947 and not able to return there until 1967.
There are Arab roads only in the West Bank that Jews are not allowed to use. Jews are also forbidden from entering Area “A”. Selling land to Jews is forbidden by the PLO under pain of death. The PLO runs the daily lives of 95% of the West Bank Arabs and Hamas runs the daily lives of 100% of the Gazan Arabs. They have been under occupation – and subjugation – by these two evil groups for the last ten years and given no say in their future or any opportunity to elect others to lead them following the disastrous political decisions of their leaders over the past ten years. Hamas and the PLO do not accept the continued existence of a Jewish State and call for its disappearance.
