Jewish students intimidated at UC Irvine, escorted to safety

It really is getting out of hand.
DeleteIf there are to be no safe spaces ( whatever that new age speak means ) for Jewish students , there must be no safe spaces for the antisemitic Neo fascists who currently have a clear field for their intimidatory actions . That means Jewish students discarding their ' ignore it and it will eventually go away ' approach , and step up to the mark . In the absence of a robust response from the college administrators to enforce a safe space , Jewish students must establish rapid response teams to create their own safe space and a no Pasaran line in the sand beyond which the fascists do not pass . Photograph video and identify each one . I realise nice middle class Jewish kids are not programmed for such response when confronted by visceral foam flecked haters , but they need to change their approach . Bullies tend to back down and if they don't the college will get the message that they are facing anarchy and serious campus unrest unless they face reality that hate and intimidation masquerading as freedom of speech is totally unacceptable .
ReplyDeleteSponsors need to withdraw college funding and students should be examining the chances of a successful class action against the university for failing to provide a safe environment in which to study and thrive .
It has to stop now .
Very well said, Harvey.
