Eretz Israel is our unforgettable historic homeland...The Jews who will it shall achieve their State...And whatever we attempt there for our own benefit will redound mightily and beneficially to the good of all mankind. (Theodor Herzl, DerJudenstaat, 1896)

We offer peace and amity to all the neighbouring states and their peoples, and invite them to cooperate with the independent Jewish nation for the common good of all. The State of Israel is ready to contribute its full share to the peaceful progress and development of the Middle East.
(From Proclamation of the State of Israel, 5 Iyar 5708; 14 May 1948)

With a liberal democratic political system operating under the rule of law, a flourishing market economy producing technological innovation to the benefit of the wider world, and a population as educated and cultured as anywhere in Europe or North America, Israel is a normal Western country with a right to be treated as such in the community of nations.... For the global jihad, Israel may be the first objective. But it will not be the last. (Friends of Israel Initiative)

Very interesting "Israel is obliged under international law to apply to the West Bank the legal system that was in place before it became occupied in 1967,"

    1. In a weird coincidence I was arguing with some online about a month ago, who sent me this, thinking it was about Hague article 42 (he wasn’t very bright just spamming stuff he didn’t read or understand). I remembered it because I had a good laugh at his blunder.
LEGISLATION UNDER ARTICLE 43 OF THE HAGUE REGULATIONS: BELLIGERENT OCCUPATION AND PEACEBUILDING BY PROFESSOR YORAM DINSTEIN
      http://www.hpcrresearch.org/sites/default/files/publications/OccasionalPaper1.pdf
The paper talks about the conflict between the requirements of Hague Article 43, Geneva IV Article. 47 and 64.
Considering Jordan effectively banned Jews from all of its territory I don’t see how Israel could apply their laws. Also following Jordanian law would legitimise their annexation of the west bank. They could go back to British Mandate Laws, which would really give people something to complain about.

I agree with Eugene Rostow, the WB is unclaimed mandate territory. Its current status is disputed territory, administered under the Oslo accords, where Israel applies its own laws to Area C.
