In Brighton, A BDSer Faces Bold Questioning (video)

Harangued by members of Sussex Friends of Israel, this hapless BDSer protesting outside the EcoStream shop in Brighton at the weekend reveals what's really on his mind:

'....[T]he crucial part of the video [1 minute 25 seconds] comes when [Simon] Cobb and his fellow interviewer ask the man why he is boycotting Ecostream in Brighton, a shop which is Jewish and Israeli-owned, and if the man would boycott a Muslim, or Arab-Israeli owned shop.

Simon Cobb of the Sussex Friends of Israel, said: “A BDS supporter admits he would only boycott a shop owned by Israeli Jews and not by Israeli Muslims. How is this allowed on the streets of Brighton? Civil and respectful demonstration I will defend to the end of my days, but when freedom of speech becomes words of racial or religious hate, enough is enough.”

Interviewer 1: “If it was a Muslim-owned Israeli shop, would you be boycotting it?”

BDS campaigner: “No, I wouldn’t.”

Interviewer 1: “Well then it’s based on religion, isn’t it? You just said it if was a Muslim-owned Israeli shop you wouldn’t boycott it.”

BDS campaigner: “No, no, no, no… you go to school for this”(?)

Interviewer 2: “But you just said it yourself.”'

"BDS, Go Away, EcoStream Is Here To Stay!": In Brighton, Sussex Friends of Israel Take on the BDSers

Yesterday, BDSers held demos in London and in Brighton against EcoStream.

In Brighton, where the BDS movement musters strong and nasty (see here for example) supporters of Israel were in no mood for keeping calm.

Have a look at this video, showing a big counter-demo by Sussex Friends of Israel against the BDS rabble protesting outside the EcoStream shop in Brighton. Roars of "BDS, Go Away, EcoStream is here to stay!" compete with the cries of "Free Palestine!" from the Israel-hating mob.

"Boycott the Boycotters!" and "Racist scum!" are heard from the good side, where Israeli flags abound.

(It's stuff to warms the cockles of many a pro-Israel heart!)

Meanwhile, John Lewis, arguably the best of the big department stores in London, and certainly the one that reports the best trading figures year after year, was the target of one of the anti-EcoStream demos: this video showing the action, but with no conversation recorded, has been uploaded by an anti-Israel activist of Jewish background, whose frequent comments on social media against Zionism and Zionists are often breathtakingly shameful in their intemperate, antisemitism-inducing nature.

Note how most passers-by on the video are literally that, shunning the anti-Israel propaganda on offer (which inevitably includes that ubiquitous, mendacious four-map set on a large placard).

Business for the Israel-haters is so slow that one female Israel-hater, a pashmina draped over ger hair in what is presumably a nod to Londonistan, looks at her watch, presumably out of boredom...

In the background can be seen a group of about half a dozen Israel-supporters, holding two Israeli flags.

They do appear to be keeping calm.

Expose The Lies!

There is a war of lies and deceit on the internet generating unbelievable hate by denigrating and delegitimising the legal rights conferred on the Jewish people by the League of Nations in 1922 and the United Nations in 1945. The idea that there are two narratives on the Arab-Jewish conflict is rubbish. There is only one – the factual truth that details the return of the Jewish people to reconstitute the Jewish National Home in its ancient biblical, ancestral and historic homeland after 3500 years of dispersion with the unanimous endorsement of the nation states then comprising the League of Nations.... Generals can’t fight a war without soldiers. The "Apartheid" Slur

The division of Judea and Samaria (West Bank) into three separate areas “A”, “B” and “C” was agreed on by Israel and the PLO pursuant to the Oslo Accords.
95% of the West Bank Arabs live in Areas A and B and their daily lives are under the total administration and control of the PLO since the Palestinian Authority was disbanded by Abbas in January 2013. The PLO has total security control in A and shares security control in B with Israel. Israel has total administrative and security control in C.
Israel is entitled to and will continue to take responsibility for the security of Jews living in the West Bank.
Jews were given the legal right to settle in the West Bank under article 6 of the Mandate for Palestine and article 80 of the UN Charter. They did so for decades until they were driven out in 1947 and not able to return there until 1967.
There are Arab roads only in the West Bank that Jews are not allowed to use. Jews are also forbidden from entering Area “A”. Selling land to Jews is forbidden by the PLO under pain of death. The PLO runs the daily lives of 95% of the West Bank Arabs and Hamas runs the daily lives of 100% of the Gazan Arabs. They have been under occupation – and subjugation – by these two evil groups for the last ten years and given no say in their future or any opportunity to elect others to lead them following the disastrous political decisions of their leaders over the past ten years. Hamas and the PLO do not accept the continued existence of a Jewish State and call for its disappearance.
