Waking Up To Reality

"I think we need to wake up to the reality," says British Islamic extremist Anjem Choudary towards the end of this video, in which he vents shocking views towards non-Muslims in the wake of Drummer Rigby's murder.

He's right of course, we do need to wake up to reality, but not in the way he means. (See, by the way, this pertinent article re double standards in Britain towards the stirring up of racial hatred.)

On the very day that it's revealed that the Australian Minister for Immigration was kept in the dark for eight months about the fact that an illegal immigrant being held in a not highly secure family detention centre is a convicted member of Egyptian Islamic Jihad, comes this article regarding the ostrich-like stance of American officialdom towards the jihadist terror threat:

"Why has the U.S. government called certain Islamic groups supporters of terror in federal court, and then turned around and called these same organizations “moderates” and embraced them as outreach partners? In a number of cases from the Clinton, Bush, and Obama administrations, the leaders of these organizations (some of whom are now in federal prison) were under active investigation at the same time they were meeting with senior U.S. leaders at the White House and the Capitol and helping develop U.S. policy. Now these same Islamic organizations and leaders have openly encouraged a purge of counterterrorism training that have effectively blinded law enforcement, homeland security, and intelligence agencies to active terror threats as seen in the inaction of the FBI concerning the Boston bombing suspects and other terror cases. This study poses serious questions as to the efficacy and even security concerns about U.S. government outreach to Islamic groups, which often turn out to be Islamist militants, enemies of Islamic moderation, and even supporters of terrorism"

Perverse Palestinian Christians

A current op-ed by Italian journalist Giulio Meotti has much to recommend it, a fact reflected by the irritation it is causing to Christian Israel-haters (you can probably hazard a guess at a name or two) who appear to love Muslims and Islam as much as they appear to dislike Jews and Judaism and who are expressing their annoyance on social media.

Writes Meotti, inter alia:

'Palestinian Arab Christians have chosen to support the side that wants to destroy Christianity. Hating Jews forges a bond between enemies....

There is a long tradition of anti-Semitism from the Palestinian Christian establishment. In 1989, Jerusalem’s Roman Catholic patriarch Michel Sabbah supported the Intifada as he celebrated a Christmas Mass at Jesus’ birthplace. “Despite all that is happening to you, you will win, in the end you will win,” declared Patriarch Michel Sabbah, appointed by Pope John Paul II. Off Manger Square, Muslims chanted: “The Zionist is God’s enemy!” and “Jews, Mohammed is coming back!”. ...
Palestinian Christians have manipulated Western public opinion so well that on the very rare occasion that Western media do cover the real plight of Christians in the Palestinian Authority areas, it is only to denounce Israel and its barrier or checkpoints.

Last year veteran CBS News anchor Bob Simon reported on the Palestinian Arab Christians, indicting Israel’s “occupation” as responsible for their dramatic disappearance. The 60 Minutes story caused Israel tremendous PR damage. As in the case of “The Stones Cry Out”, the CBS video doesn’t mention forced marriages, conversions, beatings, land thefts, fire bombings, commercial boycott, torture, kidnapping, sexual harassment, and extortion which Arab Christians suffer under the horrible PLO dictatorship.

A report in 2002, based on Israeli intelligence gathered during Operatio Defensive Shield, explained that “Arafat’s intelligence network intimidated the Christian population in Bethlehem. They extorted money from them, confiscated land and property and left them to the mercy of street gangs and other criminal activity, with no protection”.

Christian graves, crosses, and statues were desecrated and Christians suffered physical abuse, beatings, and Molotov attacks.

But it would be a mistake to depict these Christians as mere victims of Muslim Arab violence. They are also guilty, since they choose to demonize Israel as the human rights violator.

After the 1948 war, Christian communities suffered most in Judea, not under “Israel’s occupation”, but because Muslim refugees were settled in their midst by the corrupted PLO leadership. According to veteran journalist Danny Rubinstein, who has been writing about Palestinian Arabs for the last 46 years, “Bethlehem saw an influx of thousands of Muslim refugees from the villages in the southern part of Jerusalem, and three refugee camps were erected”.

Until Palestinian terrorists turned Bethlehem into a safe haven for suicide bombers and Jews’ assassins, the Christian Arab Bethlehemites were free to enter IJerusalem, just as many Israelis visited the "little town" in Judea.

The horrible Arafat gang turned Bethlehem and its holy places into the town which exported a string of deadly terror attacks into Jerusalem during the Intifada. In Beit Jala, the Christian town on the outskirts of Bethlehem, Islamic sharpshooters established their firing positions next to churches and Christian institutions and aimed. The target was the southern Jerusalem residential Jewish neighborhood of Gilo, but ultimately they also wanted to cleanse any Christians from the area. The result is that 25,000 Christians left Beit Jala and only 6,000 Christians still live in that town.

The Jews have always challenged any kind of totalitarianism and today are the first in line to challenge a political Islam that wants to destroy their soul: the State of Israel.

The Palestinian Christians stand today at the opposite side of the barricade. One day they may realize the strategic mistake they made by embracing Palestinian fascism, but it will be too late for all of them.'

"Seize Him! Kill Him!": Antisemitism in Haifa 100 Years Ago

I've no idea of the name of the Egyptian agitator referred to below; if anyone has further information regarding him, it would be interesting to know it...

As reported by the British Jewish Chronicle's Constantinople correspondent (JC, 25 November 1910), citing letters that had reached the Chief Rabbi of that city, an anti-Jewish organisation was that year established in Haifa.

The organisation's president was an Arab who had moved from his native Egypt to Palestine for the express purpose of stirring up Jew-hatred in that backwater Ottoman province.

He had placed 20,000 francs at the organisation's disposal, and had won over an Arabic newspaper in Damascus that was previously friendly to Jews, by donating a large sum of money to that paper's coffers. Another Arabic journal, Carmel, whose editor was bitterly antisemitic, was also on side. The aim was to set fellaheen against Jews and bring aliya to an end.

The Jewish Chronicle of 14 July 1911 carried a report from its Salonika correspondent headed "An Unpleasant Incident at Haifa".

"The odious campaign against the Jews which has for a long time been carried on by the Arabic paper Carmel continues to poison the minds of the masses," it began, and continued:

'A few days ago a meeting against the Cretans was held in the town, and among the speakers was Nedjar Natsar, editor of the Carmel. He had scarcely commenced his speech when hisses were heard from various parts of the hall, and one young man, M. Salomon Bouzaglo, a former teacher in the service of the Alliance Israélite, unable to restrain his indignation, shouted "Get down from the Ottoman platform, you who sow discord among peoples! Here in Turkey we want union. Get down!"

The Arabs at first cheered, but the editor of the Carmel and other enemies of the Jews declared that the Jews had insulted Turkey. Nothing more was needed to inflame the meeting. A dead set was made against M. Bouzaglo and cries were heard, "Seize him!", "Kill him!".

With great difficulty he succeeded in taking refuge in a shop which the mob soon besieged. They would undoubtedly have torn the young man to pieces had not the police intervened and rescued him from their hands. He was placed under arrest and detained thirty hours in the residence of the Governor, and it was only through the intervention of the British Consul (M. Bouzaglo being a British subject) that he was set at liberty.

It is remarkable that whn the Consul asked for the young man's release all the judges were unanimous in declaring that he was not guilty of any offence, and they refused to sign a document presented to them by the President in which Bouzaglo was accused of being "a revolutionary and spy, delegated by the English Zionists to excite the people."

The Arabs are in a state of great excitement. The editor of the Carmel and the anti-Jewish deputy for Damascus, Chukri El Assak, are endeavouring to arouse the masses by spreading most shameful charges. The energy of the police alone has prevented an outbreak.'

The Haifa Jewish community decided later that summer to send delegate to Constantinople to request that the editor's intrigues against them be stopped, but the Jewish Chronicle of 26 January 1912 was able to report that the Carmel, "which had been carrying on an agitation against Jewish emigration [sic] into Palestine and Judaism in general" had folded for want of readers.

Expose The Lies!

There is a war of lies and deceit on the internet generating unbelievable hate by denigrating and delegitimising the legal rights conferred on the Jewish people by the League of Nations in 1922 and the United Nations in 1945. The idea that there are two narratives on the Arab-Jewish conflict is rubbish. There is only one – the factual truth that details the return of the Jewish people to reconstitute the Jewish National Home in its ancient biblical, ancestral and historic homeland after 3500 years of dispersion with the unanimous endorsement of the nation states then comprising the League of Nations.... Generals can’t fight a war without soldiers. The "Apartheid" Slur

The division of Judea and Samaria (West Bank) into three separate areas “A”, “B” and “C” was agreed on by Israel and the PLO pursuant to the Oslo Accords.
95% of the West Bank Arabs live in Areas A and B and their daily lives are under the total administration and control of the PLO since the Palestinian Authority was disbanded by Abbas in January 2013. The PLO has total security control in A and shares security control in B with Israel. Israel has total administrative and security control in C.
Israel is entitled to and will continue to take responsibility for the security of Jews living in the West Bank.
Jews were given the legal right to settle in the West Bank under article 6 of the Mandate for Palestine and article 80 of the UN Charter. They did so for decades until they were driven out in 1947 and not able to return there until 1967.
There are Arab roads only in the West Bank that Jews are not allowed to use. Jews are also forbidden from entering Area “A”. Selling land to Jews is forbidden by the PLO under pain of death. The PLO runs the daily lives of 95% of the West Bank Arabs and Hamas runs the daily lives of 100% of the Gazan Arabs. They have been under occupation – and subjugation – by these two evil groups for the last ten years and given no say in their future or any opportunity to elect others to lead them following the disastrous political decisions of their leaders over the past ten years. Hamas and the PLO do not accept the continued existence of a Jewish State and call for its disappearance.

For Western countries to side with those who question Israel's legitimacy, for them to play games in international bodies with Israel's vital security issues, for them to appease those who oppose Western values, rather than robustly to stand up in defence of those values, is not only a grave moral mistake, but a strategic error of the first magnitude.
