Eretz Israel is our unforgettable historic homeland...The Jews who will it shall achieve their State...And whatever we attempt there for our own benefit will redound mightily and beneficially to the good of all mankind. (Theodor Herzl, DerJudenstaat, 1896)

We offer peace and amity to all the neighbouring states and their peoples, and invite them to cooperate with the independent Jewish nation for the common good of all. The State of Israel is ready to contribute its full share to the peaceful progress and development of the Middle East.
(From Proclamation of the State of Israel, 5 Iyar 5708; 14 May 1948)

With a liberal democratic political system operating under the rule of law, a flourishing market economy producing technological innovation to the benefit of the wider world, and a population as educated and cultured as anywhere in Europe or North America, Israel is a normal Western country with a right to be treated as such in the community of nations.... For the global jihad, Israel may be the first objective. But it will not be the last. (Friends of Israel Initiative)

The Not So Divine Miss M

British actress (I suppose it's poltically correct to say "actor") Miriam Margolyes, who has been an Australian citizen for some years (the photo shows her receiving her naturalisation certificate from no less a personage than them prime minister Julia Gillard), is an inveterate Israel hater, who can usually be relied upon to sign leftist "as a Jew" statements vilifying Israel.  This, for instance.

She is consequently a darling of the anti-Israel media including the supposed-to-be impartial taxpayer funded ABC, which as Herald-Sun columnist Rita Panahi showed brilliantly in an article this very day (behind a paywall, I'm afraid) is now more blatantly than ever  the home of leftist activism posing as journalism, a place that's nor merely a conservative-free zone but, increasingly, a centrist-free one as well.

In March 2015 Margolyes, a panellist on the ABC's Q&A program (the ABC's version of the BBC's Question Time) scapegoated Israel for antisemitism.

As former federal MP Michael Danby, observed in 2015,:
"I think it is appalling that the ABC had on its Q&A program the execrable woman Margolyes, who, of all the actors in Australia, had to be brought on to Q&A to comment on international affairs.
She who said, quite disgracefully on this program on Monday, that antisemitism is quite understandable.
It is not understandable in any circumstances. The death of those people [in Paris and Copenhagen] is not justifiable, Ms Margolyes.
You are a disgrace, and the ABC is a disgrace for putting you on..."
The latest way in which unapologetic Corbynista Margolyes has broken ranks with mainstream majority Jewish opinion is her endorsement of this despocable slur on Chief Rabbi Mirvis, who of course has, not before time, issued a statement deploring the effect of Labour Party antisemitism upon British Jews:

Pretty shameful, eh?

  1. Margolyes is the worst, but enough about her acting. She also signs every anti-Israel letter going, but she never manages to get in the headline.
Exclusive New letter supporting Jeremy Corbyn signed by Roger Waters, Robert Del Naja and more

Prob the best account to follow for exposing UK anti-Semites in the election.

  2. Thanks for the link, Ian.

Yes, I agree with you about GnasherJew.

This might interest you, though no doubt you have seen it already:
Jeremy Corbyn has decided not to take part in two television debates this week, it has emerged, in the wake of his disastrous interview with Andrew Neil on BBC One.
Sky News was forced to cancel a leaders’ debate on Thursday after Mr Corbyn refused to sign up to the programme, and a seven-way debate between party leaders on the BBC on Friday night will feature Rebecca Long-Bailey, the shadow business secretary, in Mr Corbyn’s place.
Sky sources confirmed they had called off the programme after both Boris Johnson and Mr Corbyn declined to take part in a three-way debate with Jo Swinson, the Liberal Democrat leader.
Mr Corbyn will instead appear in a Channel 4 debate on climate change this evening...

    1. That's interesting, supposedly the BBC were saying Boris couldn't go on Marr if he wouldn't do Neil aswell. But now Boris is going Marr tomorrow !!

What's happening in the UK is terrifying, about 30% of Labour are hardcore Jew haters and the rest of the party including Celebs are going along with it. Once Labour hopefully loses then what? These people aren't going to go away.
Also look up the picture of Anthony Albanese with Corbyn, chilling stuff.

  3. Harvard Law Professor Alan M. Dershowitz
    said this about Israel:

"No country faced with comparable threats can boast a better record of human rights, a higher regard for the rule of law, or greater efforts to reduce civilian casualties.

Nor has any country in history contributed as much to humankind — medically, scientifically, environmentally, academically, culturally — in so short a time than has Israel in its relatively brief existence as an independent state."

“Israel was unwilling to return to the pre-1967 borders, which made it extremely vulnerable to attack – only 10 miles wide at its narrowest point, and its north and south could easily be cut off. It also did not want to see Syrian troops once again on the Golan Heights, from which they had fired munitions into the Israeli civilian areas* below.
The Arab states were unwilling to make peace in exchange for anything except Israel’s complete destruction.”
