To quote the uploader, Memri.org:
'On December 2, 2018, American political activist Linda Sarsour spoke at the 2018 Salam Annual Banquet, which was held at the Salam Community Center in Sacramento, CA.
She criticized President Trump for moving the American embassy to Jerusalem, saying: "I declare to all of you here today in Sacramento that Jerusalem is and always will be the capital of Palestine."
She said that the Trump administration is fascist and encouraged Muslims to become involved in politics even if their mosques usually avoid politics, because simply being Muslim is a political act.
She said that the Prophet Muhammad was a human rights activist, and that there is no need for workers' rights movements, environmental justice movements, Black Lives Matter movements, anti-racism, or feminism because Islam has taught these values long before they were hashtags or movements.
She added: "I don't need people in the West, people in Europe, or people in the United States… to teach me what feminism is."
The video of Sarsour's speech was uploaded to the Salam Center's YouTube channel on December 13, 2018.'
In 1958, former director of UNRWA
ReplyDeleteRalph Galloway declared angrily while in Jordan:
“The Arab states do not want to
solve the [Palestinian] refugee problem.
They want to keep it as an open sore,
as an affront to the United Nations,
and as a weapon against Israel.
Arab leaders do not give a damn
whether Arab refugees live or die.”

“One crucial truth, among the many
which have been obscured or deprecated,
is that there have been as many Jewish
refugees who fled or were expelled
from the Arab countries [in year 1948]
as there were Arab refugees from Israel,
and that the Jews left of necessity
and in flight from danger.”

Hitler’s crimes against the Jews have
been frequently justified in Arab writings
and pronouncements.
In the 1950s, Minister Anwar Sadat
published an open letter to Hitler,
hoping he was still alive and
sympathizing with his cause.
Important Arab writers and political
figures have said Hitler was
“wronged and slandered…”
Or that Hitler wanted to “save …
the world from this malignant evil…”

I remember the sensation the Joan Peters book caused when it was first published - it's easy to forget its existence, for comparatively little seems to be heard of it today.
DeleteOne of my goals is to remind people about important facts that they have forgotten.

UNRWA [United Nations Relief and Works Agency] altered its definition of refugees to include those people who had lived in Palestine a minimum of only two years preceding the 1948 conflict [in which Israel became an independent state].
