Eretz Israel is our unforgettable historic homeland...The Jews who will it shall achieve their State...And whatever we attempt there for our own benefit will redound mightily and beneficially to the good of all mankind. (Theodor Herzl, DerJudenstaat, 1896)

We offer peace and amity to all the neighbouring states and their peoples, and invite them to cooperate with the independent Jewish nation for the common good of all. The State of Israel is ready to contribute its full share to the peaceful progress and development of the Middle East.
(From Proclamation of the State of Israel, 5 Iyar 5708; 14 May 1948)

With a liberal democratic political system operating under the rule of law, a flourishing market economy producing technological innovation to the benefit of the wider world, and a population as educated and cultured as anywhere in Europe or North America, Israel is a normal Western country with a right to be treated as such in the community of nations.... For the global jihad, Israel may be the first objective. But it will not be the last. (Friends of Israel Initiative)

In London, A Message or Two Regarding Yuval Edelstein (video)

Veteran anti-Israel activist and video-maker Alex Seymour (aka Seymour Alexander) introduces this video thus:
"A few messages displayed on the wall of the British Houses of Parliament for that big fish in a small pond, Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein. Apparently the UK is in urgent need of his expertise on how to deal with BDS although David Cameron seems to be already eagerly following the instructions of Bibi Netanyahu so the Edelstein's visit is probably more of a free West End shopping trip than a useful political exercise. Who I wonder in the UK could possibly have any interest in anything Edelstein might have to say."
I reckon Alex is better behind the camera than doing a spot of newscasting:

Here's Edelstein himself, in an interview last year:

Regarding President Rivlin's cancelled state visit to Australia, words to be heeded by Isi Leibler: Israel should not take Australia for granted...

  1. Good news
    Col Kemp:
Prof Lynch blames me for the collapse of his so-called Peace Centre at Sydney University. Happy to take the credit.
