Eretz Israel is our unforgettable historic homeland...The Jews who will it shall achieve their State...And whatever we attempt there for our own benefit will redound mightily and beneficially to the good of all mankind. (Theodor Herzl, DerJudenstaat, 1896)

We offer peace and amity to all the neighbouring states and their peoples, and invite them to cooperate with the independent Jewish nation for the common good of all. The State of Israel is ready to contribute its full share to the peaceful progress and development of the Middle East.
(From Proclamation of the State of Israel, 5 Iyar 5708; 14 May 1948)

With a liberal democratic political system operating under the rule of law, a flourishing market economy producing technological innovation to the benefit of the wider world, and a population as educated and cultured as anywhere in Europe or North America, Israel is a normal Western country with a right to be treated as such in the community of nations.... For the global jihad, Israel may be the first objective. But it will not be the last. (Friends of Israel Initiative)

"Kill The Jews!"; An "Isolated Incident" In Crown Heights (videos)

An apparently bipolar man named as Calvin Peters, armed with a nine-inch knife bearing a blade four-and-a-half inches wide and reportedly screaming "I want to kill the Jews!" or words to that effect, entered the Chabad-Lubavitch World Headquarters in the Brooklyn neighbourhood of Crown Heights in the very early hours of Tuesday morning and stabbed a young yeshiva student from Israel, Levi Rosenblat, in the left temple.  After doing so, Peters reportedly approached another young student and vowed "I will kill the Jews!"  Police Officer Timothy Donahue raced to the scene and with two other policemen vainly tried to persuade Peters to put down his weapon.  He was fatally shot in the stomach when he suddenly charged at them.
'In startling video first posted by Israeli news site 0404, Donohue and the other officer could be heard repeatedly yelling at Peters to put down the weapon.
Some of the students in the center could also be heard pleading with Peters to give up.
Then a single shot rang out, hitting Peters and ending the drama on Eastern Parkway.
Rosenblat, 22, was rushed to trauma unit at Kings County Hospital and later transferred to Bellevue Hospital where he was in critical condition with bleeding on the brain, police and sources said.
“Earlier today we all felt pretty good that he was stable, but now it seems they found something they didn't know this morning and he's in pretty serious shape,” said Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn).'

It's further reported:
'[T]he public is asked to increase their prayers for the victim, Levi Yitzchok ben Raizel, to make a complete and speedy recovery....
Doctors at Bellevue Hospital performed a non-invasive surgery on Rosenblat, and expressed optimism that the procedure was successful. His vitals are strong, they reported.
Rosenblat’s condition, though improving, is still serious, and the doctors are keeping him sedated for the time being.'
Although the attack evoked memories of the recent tragic events at a Jerusalem synagogue, it is thought that this attack was not connected with terrorism, but was "an isolated incident":
