Eretz Israel is our unforgettable historic homeland...The Jews who will it shall achieve their State...And whatever we attempt there for our own benefit will redound mightily and beneficially to the good of all mankind. (Theodor Herzl, DerJudenstaat, 1896)

We offer peace and amity to all the neighbouring states and their peoples, and invite them to cooperate with the independent Jewish nation for the common good of all. The State of Israel is ready to contribute its full share to the peaceful progress and development of the Middle East.
(From Proclamation of the State of Israel, 5 Iyar 5708; 14 May 1948)

With a liberal democratic political system operating under the rule of law, a flourishing market economy producing technological innovation to the benefit of the wider world, and a population as educated and cultured as anywhere in Europe or North America, Israel is a normal Western country with a right to be treated as such in the community of nations.... For the global jihad, Israel may be the first objective. But it will not be the last. (Friends of Israel Initiative)

For Shame! Propaganda Lite from Al Beeb

Click here for another seasonal piece of propaganda from the Israel-demonising Left, in this case the ever-ready-to-oblige BBC.  And how the usual suspects are chortling!

Meanwhile, the Simon Wiesenthal Center has released its list of shame for 2013: the top ten anti-Jewish/anti-Israel slurs.  See here

I have a list (of sorts) of my own, which I hope to post before this day is out.

Happy New Year, everyone!

  1. Happy New Year, Daphne!
    As someone who can feel overwhelmed by the haters out there, here is a blessing;
    "How can I curse those whom God has not cursed? How can I denounce those whom the LORD has not denounced? From the rocky peaks I see them, from the heights I view them. I see a people who live apart and do not consider themselves one of the nations. Who can count the dust of Jacob or number the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and may my end be like theirs!" (Numbers 23:8-10) and Numbers 23:20-21 "I have received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot change it. No misfortune is seen in Jacob, no misery observed in Israel. The LORD their God is with them; the shout of the King is among them."
    God bless,
    Colin
