|A toast to Rod's honesty!|
"I came across this blog by accident ... May I say that you typify many people's view of Jews. Completely self obsessed, unable to see any point of view other than your own, incredible arrogance and, basically, not the sort of people one would like to mix with.
Israel is not a model of self-liberation - it's a rather vile little nation surviving purely through 'donations' from the American taxpayer. Of course, theft is part and parcel of the history of Israel: Theft of land from Palestinians, theft of water from Palestinians, attempted theft of land and water from the Lebanese and Syrians.
You are detested by millions and you only have yourselves to blame. You'd think that after your history of persecution and attempted genocide that you might show just a little bit of compassion for your fellow human beings but, I suppose, as you see yourselves as God's chosen people you might have a bit of a problem with that.
Still, what else would you expect from people country founded on the basis of a 4,000 year old myth?"Chas Newkey-Burden has dealt most adroitly with the oft-repeated "vile claim" Israel-bashers make concerning a persecuted Jewish people who have learned nothing from their historic oppression (see his wonderful post here) but I want to commend Mr Froilan for his full frontal antisemitism.
Sometimes, just sometimes, anti-Zionists let their fig-leaves slip, revealing the ugly judeophobia beneath.
Rod has not bothered to disguise his hatred of Jews as he spews out his invective against Israel.
He's given vent to both, full-on and up-front.
If only all the Israel-haters were so honest.
Update: reader Harvey, in the comments below, has drawn my attention to this Facebook post by Stephen Sizer today. Is the vicar exercising some sleight of hand, I wonder? After all, the top of the Elder of Ziyon poster illustrated (which makes its meaning clear, namely that historically there's never been an independent state called Palestine) has been lopped off.
Dirty tricks from a man of the cloth? Surely not!
The full poster (as seen on my template at the bottom of the blog):
