Eretz Israel is our unforgettable historic homeland...The Jews who will it shall achieve their State...And whatever we attempt there for our own benefit will redound mightily and beneficially to the good of all mankind. (Theodor Herzl, DerJudenstaat, 1896)

We offer peace and amity to all the neighbouring states and their peoples, and invite them to cooperate with the independent Jewish nation for the common good of all. The State of Israel is ready to contribute its full share to the peaceful progress and development of the Middle East.
(From Proclamation of the State of Israel, 5 Iyar 5708; 14 May 1948)

With a liberal democratic political system operating under the rule of law, a flourishing market economy producing technological innovation to the benefit of the wider world, and a population as educated and cultured as anywhere in Europe or North America, Israel is a normal Western country with a right to be treated as such in the community of nations.... For the global jihad, Israel may be the first objective. But it will not be the last. (Friends of Israel Initiative)

When Stuart Met Anne-Marie

Much anger and indignation by Aussie feministas about a nasty misogynistic chant by teenage students from a prestigious Catholic boys' school last week as they travelled to an athletics event on public transport.  Yes, the boys' behaviour on the tram was intimidatory and despicable, and, yes, it's deserved all the adverse publicity and condemnation it has garnered.

The school's head was swift to issue a robust denunciation of the boys and to suspend the miscreants (not robust enough for some critics). Among those outraged women (and some men) baying for the closure of boys' private schools on the grounds they produce the next generation of male-privileged captains of industry who discriminate against women in the workplace and, more generally, harbour contempt for and violence against women, are leftist ABC and class warfare types who studiously avoid mentioning, far less condemning, Islamic and ethnic minority misogyny.

In the Australian conservative magazine Quadrant online, meanwhile, a retired Australian judge, Stuart Lindsay,  who lunched with her in London recently avows his admiration for the feisty Dublin-born British political activist Anne-Marie Waters, founder of Sharia Watch UK, who made a failed bid fir the UKIP leadership and is much maligned by the politically correct and the lily-livered.

Not for Anne-Marie the double standards of the Sistahood, whether here or in America.

Having spent an afternoon in her company, the judge, invoking a line from the famous speech before Agincourt in Shakespeare's Henry V, reflected that "She shouldn’t be doing this on her own. Englishmen must really hold their manhoods cheap after all."

Inter alia, in the judge's own words [emphasis added]:
'.... The charge whispered against Anne Marie during that UKIP election, and which [Nigel]Farage repeated publicly many times, was that she was a “racist”. The evidence for this was her relentlessly articulated belief that Islam constituted the gravest threat to the survival of Britain. But telling the truth can never be racist. And Islam is an ideology, not a race....
" Stuart, I spent years being a Labour activist in London, standing for elections, writing their speeches and campaigning for them. I know who these people are. I know they have no principles. I know how corrupt they are,” Anne Marie explains. “They ignore violence and suppression of women by Islam because they depend on Muslim community leaders backing them.”
The apotheosis of this corruption for her was the capitulation by regulatory authorities to halal butchery of animals in the UK....
“It’s the power that this religion has in our country now. The government won’t challenge them. There are too many votes. And people are scared. They are terrified of what will happen to them if they speak up and insist that our laws are enforced.”....
[A] socialist EU has directly facilitated Islam’s rapid expansion within the nation-state. Women and girls are measurably much less safe in Britain because of it. Islam in concert with other identitarian impulses is responsible for the invention of “hate speech” and other gross disfigurements of our heritage of free expression. Her confrontation with Islam was natural and inevitable and would have been so for millions of other liberals in the West but for the ravages of political correctness.
.... I liked her and found myself telling her I liked her. I also told her that I thought British men should feel ashamed that it was a woman, and an Irish woman at that, who was putting up the most effective fight against the enemies within.
She accepted that comradely remark in the spirit in which it was made. I could see hers was not a feminism of the modern kind, obsessed with chivalry-policing. I seem to remember that over the afternoon she used the word feminist about herself but it doesn’t matter if she did or didn’t. She cares that women are being harmed and that we are permitting medievalist mistreatment of them in our heartlands and she has determined to put it to an end....'

Hijab Hypocrisy: "Not Just a Piece of Cloth"

https://mobile.twitter.com/hashtag/NoHijabDay?src=hashtag_click
In the wake of the Christchurch atrocity, New Zealand's female (and feminist!) prime minister, along with the female mayor of Christchurch, covered their heads with hijabs out of "respect" for their Muslim fellow-citizens, and numerous of their non-Muslim countrywomen followed their example, including a policewoman and several news anchors.

Aussie columnist and Sky News host Rita Panahi, American-born of Iranian parentage, knows a thing or two about the oppression of women that the hijab represents, as pointed out here and here and here,
'Sky News host Rita Panahi says World Hijab Day, celebrated on February 1, is a betrayal of the most oppressed women in the world. Ms Panahi says a woman celebrating modesty culture like the hijab, ‘is like a slave celebrating their chains’ and it shows how regressive modern feminism has become. She says celebrating the hijab and burqa ‘is utterly perverse and has no place in a civilised society that values equality’.....
Women in New Zealand are being encouraged to wear hijabs to show solidarity to the Muslim community after the Christchurch massacre.... [T]he hijab is being forced on millions of oppressed women across the world and was invented by men to be imposed on women to ‘control, separate and subjugate’ and that the NZ campaign is 'misguided and counterproductive'.... [T]he garment is 'imbued with deep symbolism' and represents a pernicious 'modesty culture.'....
New Zealand women who donned the hijab following the Christchurch massacre were "well-intended, but ill-considered and ignorant".... {W]omen in some Muslim nations are being beaten and locked up for fighting against the hijab and "we have a responsibility as free women in the West to stand by our subjugated sisters rather than give comfort to their oppressors".  [T]he hijab is "not just a piece of cloth", but rather "imbued with deep meaning" and "at the centre of a fight for equality and human rights".
Ruchika Sharma, a doctoral student at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, is also aghast at the New Zealanders' actions, and in this article she explains the misogynistic reasoning behind the hijab (lit. "curtain") and its imposition on Muslim women.  Her article concludes:
"The oppressive origins of hijab, have made it an active a tool to subjugate Muslim women. In countries such as Iran and Saudi Arabia forced veiling is practiced that has led to scores of protests by women in these countries. The lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh has only recently been sentenced to 38 years in prison, and 148 lashes, for representing women who defied Iran’s hijab laws.
As if the upholding of an oppressive symbol was not damaging enough, New Zealand’s Scarves in Solidarity movement also stereotypes Muslim women, many of whom do not wear the headscarf. It presupposes, in the most orientalist manner, that hijab-clad women are the norm in the Muslim community.
Considering the hijab as a synonym for the Muslims not only disadvantages women actively fighting against its enforcement but also has a deleterious effect on womanhood in general. It marginalizes women as merely a property of the community.
Proponents of New Zealand’s Scarves in Solidarity regards hijab as a neutral symbol of Muslim identity. Yet, if symbols of oppression could be purged of their exploitative histories in a day, feminism would have already triumphed. Associated with the hijab is centuries of suppression and body policing. Using it to show solidarity is to marginalize the women actively fighting against its enforcement and yearning to break free."

More Reasons for a "Phobia"

Another instance of the "cultural enrichment" that Islam exports to western countries and which western feminists, with a few honourable exceptions, so studiously ignore.  I wish I could dub him an Olde Tyme preacher but he is preaching misogyny for the here and now:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTlMX9Gu1o0

To quote the uploader, Memri.org:
'In a fatwa session posted online, Kuwaiti sheikh Othman Al-Khamis cited the Quranic verse pertaining to wife-beating, and said: "The beatings must not be hard. It is more of a psychological beating, the purpose of which is to humiliate the wife." He further explained that "he shouldn't break her bones, and he shouldn't beat her on the face." A video of his statements was posted on his YouTube channel on January 31.'
Another Islamic expositor, this one based in Norway:

                                          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaaqqLEc01U
To quote the same uploader:
'Mullah Fateh Krekar, former founder and leader of the Sunni terrorist group Ansar Al-Islam, said that "all the world’s powers combined" cannot beat the ideology of the Islamic State organization. Mullah Krekar, whose original name is Najmaddin Faraj Ahmad, arrived in Norway in 1991 as a refugee and has been living there since. In an interview with NRT TV, a channel frannel from Iraqi Kurdistan, Krekar said that if the Islamic State is eliminated, a similar group will emerge, because its ideology is rooted in literary sources that are unchangeable, like the Quran and the Hadith. He labeled President Trump's policies "false bravado" and challenged him to send his "most courageous men" to Libya to fight the "lions of Islam." The interview aired on February 20.'

Forgotten Something, Vicar?

As I understand the matter, our old friend the soon-to-be-ex Vicar of Virginia Water gave an undertaking to his bishop that he would cease to mention the Middle East on social media or immediately resign his pulpit.

Our old friend has seemingly forgotten that undertaking in his eagerness to bring this tribute to Sweden's ghastly foreign minister Margot Wallstrom to the attention of his faithful.  After all, the article says, inter alia:
'....It is a sign of how upside-down modern politics has become that one assumes that a politician who defends freedom of speech and women’s rights in the Arab world must be some kind of muscular liberal, or neocon, or perhaps a supporter of one of Scandinavia’s new populist right-wing parties whose commitment to human rights is merely a cover for anti-Muslim hatred. But Margot Wallström is that modern rarity: a left-wing politician who goes where her principles take her.
She is foreign minister in Sweden’s weak coalition of Social Democrats and Greens, and took office promising a feminist foreign policy. She recognised Palestine in October last year — and, no, the Arab League and Organisation of Islamic Co-operation and Gulf Co-operation Council did not condemn her ‘unacceptable interference in the internal affairs of Israel’. I confess that her gesture struck me as counterproductive at the time. But after Benjamin Netanyahu ruled out a Palestinian state as he used every dirty trick he could think of to secure his re-election, she can claim with justice that history has vindicated her.
She moved on to the Saudi version of sharia law. Her criticism was not just rhetorical. She said that it was unethical for Sweden to continue with its military co-operation agreement with Saudi Arabia. In other words, she threatened Swedish arms companies’ ability to make money. Saudi Arabia’s denial of business visas to Swedes threatened to hurt other companies’ profits too. You might think of Swedes as upright social democrats, who have never let worries of appearing tedious stand in the way of their righteousness. But that has never been wholly true, and is certainly not true when there is money at stake....'
But it's not that apparently forgotten undertaking that I refer to in the header.  It's the fact that the vicar, like Jenny Tonge, who also likes the tribute to Wallstrom, has apparently forgotten that Iran (whose PressTV propaganda channel both he and the baroness have appeared on with, pardon the phrase, gay abandon, is every bit as oppressive to women as Saudi Arabia is.)

Wallstrom, like the other feministas in the Swedish government, whose hijabbed heads and swathed bodies were bowed before the mullahs recently, have of course conveniently forgotten it too.

I suppose that's because Saudi Arabia is an ally of America and a de facto ally of Israel.  Eh, vicar?

Talking of Islam and women's rights (or lack of them), a topic that has been making headlines in Australia over the past fortnight, as apologists for Islam present it as a harbinger of feminism (!), the VladTepes blog reminds us today of this Toronto imam, making sick, outrageous claims against Israel back in 2013.

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdtANAF1bxk

To quote the uploader:
Shaykh Saed Rageah (الشيخ سعيد راجح) was born in Somalia and in the late 80sn moved to North America. Rageah has a Bachelor's in Islamic studies and a Masters in Shari'ah and he has had several posts over the years, including: founder of Masjid Huda in Montreal and Masjid Aya in Maryland, advisor for Muslim Youth magazine, and member in the Aqsa Association.
He is also the founder of both Muslim Magazine and Al Aqsa Association, and served as the Chaplain at both the University of Calgary and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). Currently, he serves as Imam at the Abu Hurairah Mosque in Toronto, the Chairman for the Journey of Faith Conference and as an instructor for the AlMaghrib Institute.
In a lecture delivered in Denmark (posted on Youtube on April 15, 2013) dealing with women's right Shaykh Rageah asserted that Islam, unlike the Christianity and Judaism, dignifies women. Referring to Israel and the Jews in this regard Shaykh Rageah said the following:
"In Europe... there is something called sex slaves. What did they do? They steal little girls. Glory be to Allah (سبحان الله), You know number one in the world who does that? Number one country in the world? Israel. They are number one in sex salve, which means they gonna steal little girls and they gonna sell them, and these little girls have no hope."

Swedish Feminista Politicians Obey Male Iranian Masters

Self-abasement bigtime!  In a spectacular display of the hypocritical feminism that blasts President Trump and other Western men for misogyny real and supposed, these Swedish feministas bow their hijabbed heads to the leaders of a country known for very real and hideous oppression of women.

In the process these whacky Swedish hypocrites (whose own country, now the rape capital of Europe owing to Islamic mass migration , betrays its women and girls) have betrayed Iranian women, for whom encasement in body sacks is compulsory, despite the pleas of Iranian feminists fighting the hijab whom they have blatantly ignored.

Hillel Neuer of UN Watch has the lowdown on these wicked women.  Inter alia:
'In a statement that has gone viral on Twitter and Facebook, UN Watch, a non-governmental human rights NGO in Geneva, expressed disappointment that Sweden’s self-declared “first feminist government in the world” sacrificed its principles and betrayed the rights of Iranian women as Trade Minister Ann Linde and other female members walked before Iranian President Rouhani on Saturday wearing Hijabs, Chadors, and long coats, in deference to Iran’s oppressive and unjust modesty laws which make the Hijab compulsory — despite Stockholm’s promise to promote “a gender equality perspective” internationally, and to adopt a “feminist foreign policy” in which “equality between women and men is a fundamental aim.”
In doing so, Sweden’s female leaders ignored the recent appeal by Iranian women’s right activist Masih Alinejad who urged Europeans female politicians “to stand for their own dignity” and to refuse to kowtow to the compulsory Hijab while visiting Iran.
Alinrejad created a Facebook page for Iranian women to resist the law and show their hair as an act of resistance, which now numbers 1 million followers.“European female politicians are hypocrites,” says Alinejad. “They stand with French Muslim women and condemn the burkini ban—because they think compulsion is bad—but when it happens to Iran, they just care about money.”
The scene in Tehran on Saturday was also a sharp contrast to Deputy Prime Minister Isabella Lövin’s feminist stance against U.S. President Donald Trump, in a viral tweet and then in a Guardian op-ed last week, in which she wrote that “the world need strong leadership for women’s rights.[Emphasis added]
"Trade Minister Linde, who signed multiple agreements with Iranian ministers while wearing a veil, “sees no conflict” between her government’s human rights policy and signing trade deals with an oppressive dictatorship that tortures prisoners, persecutes gays, and is a leading executioner of minors.
“If Sweden really cares about human rights, they should not be empowering a regime that brutalizes its own citizens while carrying out genocide in Syria; and if they care about women’s rights, then the female ministers never should have gone to misogynistic Iran in the first place,” said UN Watch executive director Hillel Neuer...."

Sex Slaves & Other Infidels: A Posse of Passionate Preachers (videos)

More lovable expositors of that Olde Tyme Religion.

First, the Hezbollah preacher informing of Israel's imminent demise.  (Come to think of it, he doesn't look too convinced!)

'In a TV interview, Lebanese cleric Hashem Safieddine, head of the Executive Council of Hizbullah, said that "Israel is closer than ever before to its demise" and warned that "the time for operations will come." When the interviewer asked whether Hizbullah was capable of entering the Galilee or "even further than the Galilee" with ground forces, Safieddine responded: "We have that capability. Of course." The interview aired on Mayadeen TV on August 8.'
Second, an Iraqi Shiite salivating about sex slaves:

'Iraqi Ayatollah Abdul Karim Al-Haeri, Director of the Karbala Hawza Shiite seminary, said in a video that after the arrival of the Mahdi, it would be permissible to take five or ten slave girls from among those who oppose the imam, and to offer them to friends for sex, when they come over.
Al-Haeri recommended this as a means to prevent marital problems: "If his wife asks him where he was, he has no problem [telling her he was with his friend]," he said.
Excerpts from the lecture were posted on April 7 on the Facebook page of Beith Al-Wujdan Al-Thaqafi, a group focused on enlightenment and extremism in the Arab and Islamic world.'
(Hey, Pope Francis, what in Christianity is analogous to this? .... Nu?  Nah, I don't think His Naive Holiness could provide a convincing answer, even if he tried to, do you?)

Third, a Kuwaiti alleging a Jewish-Masonic conspiracy:

'In a 2011 episode of his religious TV show, Kuwaiti preacher Nabil Al-Awadi claimed that there was a Jewish-Freemason conspiracy aimed at instilling un-Islamic messages in the mind of children through popular animated films. "The whole world has turned SpongeBob," he complained. "They are instilling the message that boys are wimps, sissies, and girlish, whereas girls are butch, strong, and masculine... Brothers, there is homosexuality in cartoons." Al-Awadi further said that "Jews are behind most of the American companies today." The show aired on Al-Watan TV on September 24, 2011.'

He's Not Wrong, Isi?

"....Muslim migrants who settled into enclaves in Europe have imported their hatred and formed unholy alliances with traditional anti-Semites and political leftists – including organizations purportedly promoting human rights – to foment an environment of Jew-hatred reminiscent of the 1930s, immediately prior to the rise of Nazism.

The ongoing influx of millions of Muslim refugees will massively reinforce the existing Muslim anti-Semitic elements and permanently alter the demographics of Europe. Unlikely to be reversed, it will enable Islam to become an immensely powerful political force in many West European countries.

The implications for European Jews are horrendous, as the combination of the prevailing virulently anti-Israeli public opinion and extremist Islamic political agitation will, in all likelihood, lead to even more extreme policies toward Israel. Despite lip service to the contrary, anti-Semitism will continue to thrive.
....
European Jews who fail to see the writing on the wall are simply living in denial...."

That's part of a must-read article by veteran international Jewish leader and Jerusalem Post columnist Isi Leibler.

And his warning's not only restricted to Europe, although it is, of course, in Europe that the danger is at its most imminent and potentially lethal.

Here's a small example of the Leftist-Islamist/"Muslims are the new Jew"s/"Islamophobia is the new antisemitism" mindset that manifested itself in Bradford this week; note the disgraceful pandering of the BBC's Nicky Campbell to "Mossad Stole My Shoe"'s nonsense.

The latest anti-Israel propaganda from the leftist BBC:

Here's one of the numerous manifestations of raw antisemitism that anyone can find on Facebook without really trying; it was posted by a woman whose Facebook friends includes such luminaries of the anti-Israel movement as Richard Falk and Antony Loewenstein.

Another sage passage regarding what's happening in Europe is quoted below.  It was made very recently by the splendid Sultan Knish, aka Daniel Greenfield (read the entire article!):
'....The left’s patronage of Islamic terrorists for its own political purposes follows a thread back to the origin of Islamic terrorism. Islamic violence against non-Muslims dates back to the founding of Islam, but the tactics of modern Islamic terrorism owe as much to Lenin as they do to Mohammed.....
Having learned nothing from the Hitler-Stalin pact, the left has replayed the same betrayal with the Mohammed-Stalin pact in the Middle East and now in the West. But the end of the Mohammed-Stalin pact will not be a Socialist totalitarian utopia, but an Islamic theocracy of slaves, terror and death....
The left has crippled domestic and international counterterrorism. American soldiers are not allowed to shoot terrorists and the FBI and NYPD can’t monitor mosques or even be taught what to look for. Islamic terrorism has achieved unprecedented influence and power under Obama. ISIS has created the first functioning caliphate and Iran marches toward the first Jihadist nuclear bomb. The mass Muslim migration is beginning a process that will Islamize Europe far more rapidly than anyone expects.
The Jihad would not be a significant threat without the collaboration of the left. Without the left standing in the way, it’s a problem that could be solved in a matter of years. With the aid of the left, it threatens human civilization with a dark age that will erase our culture, our future and our freedom.
We cannot defeat Islam without defeating the left. That is the lesson I learned on September 11. It is a lesson that appears truer every single year as the left finds new ways to endanger us all.'
Elsewhere (again, please read the entire article) Greenfield remarks:
'.... Liberal Jewish and Christian groups, alongside gay and feminist groups, vocally advocated for the entry of millions of Muslim migrants whose contempt for women's rights was only exceeded by their loathing for Christians, their seething hatred for Jews and their violent distaste of gays.
Gay, feminist and liberal Jewish and Christian groups worked overtime to fill their countries with the demographic most likely to commit hate crimes against them....
The left does not help women. The left only helps the left. Beneath the slick advertising, the artsy designs that lend the illusion of the personal to the impersonal and the touching video narratives is the soul of an ideological machine whose acolytes are trained to allocate empathy in tune with a rigid set of rules that are as inflexible as any Soviet commissar's handbook. The left is not in the business of caring, but of coordinating, and it exploits empathy to gain recruits only to mandate the things that they are allowed to care about in a coordinated ideological fashion....
As long as feminism remains a slave to the left, it will be responsible for causing more women to be beaten, assaulted and raped. And then it will cover up the crimes and use the victims to sell more red t-shirts.
As Cologne, where hundreds of women were assaulted in one day, reminds us, a feminism in thrall to the left is one of the biggest threats to women.'
A truism if ever I heard one.

And then there is the bizarre apologia for Islam that many Christians evince, as in this current example from an old friend of ours:

Our old friend's above post (and of course he is not to blame for her outbursts, though in all decency he really should de-friend her) has inspired at least one of his professedly Christian anti-Israel Facebook followers to spew the raw and repellent antisemitism in the form of vicious slurs against Judaism that has become her hallmark:

Make no mistake, empathy for Islam and contempt for Judaism is by no means uncommon among the anti-Israel Christian set nowadays.

That, despite all the ghastly horrors Christians are subject to in much of the Islamic world (see Raymond Ibrahim's numerous articles on the sufferings of Christians at the hands of Islamists.)

What a curious nexus it is.

Be careful of Taqiyya, Friends!

Engendering Danger: Male mass Muslim migration & misogynistic malevolence

A trifle sad, is it not, how some Leftists would rather grouse about the sexism lite in this photo

than deign to say a condemnatory word against the hardcore misogyny represented in this one?

Beauty and (some of) the Beasts: From my Facebook page
My Tuesday post on Elder of Ziyon this week concerns the hypocritical and outrageous near-silence of Western feministas concerning the sex attacks on women in Germany and elsewhere on the European continent at the hands of mainly Muslim men, so I won't reprise here the views I've given there.

However, I'd like to call attention to the video below, which abhors the importation into Europe (take heed while there's still time, Australasia and North America) of men from a culture and a region in which loathsome contempt for and brutal maltreatment of women is entrenched.

The Palestinian  Arabs do not emerge from this video as blameless in this regard, yet, bizarrely, swathes of the Western "feminist" movement have declared anti-Israel activism a feminist issue.  A mad, mad world indeed.

Infamously spoken by Oz's ex-Grand Mufti, Sheikh Hilali
As Professor Phyllis Chesler, who has personal experience of living in a Muslim society, writes inter alia, in a must-read piece, 'mass public gang rapes represent the normalization of "Islamist" ways and are also another face of jihad':
'..... European men rape European women every single day. But make no mistake: the pattern of sexual harassment and rape in the Muslim world in general is vastly different. Muslims in Sudan and Nigeria have perpetrated similar horrific attacks upon Christian, animist, and Muslim women. Similar atrocities took place in the former Yugoslavia, perpetrated by both Serb and Croat Christians and Muslims. Nevertheless, in an Islamist era, such Muslim-perpetrated attacks have assumed monstrous proportions.
Recall the roving gangs in Egypt in Tahrir Square in 2011, the mass groping and the assault of blonde American journalist Lara Logan. Realize that hundreds, perhaps thousands, of Egyptian Muslim and Christian women were also groped and sexually assaulted, whether or not they were wearing headscarves or face masks.... [graphic example follows] ....
If Germany and Austria—if all Europe--does not find, prosecute, and deport all the men who took part in the recent New Year's Eve atrocities, they will soon discover that such attacks might become regular features of European life and will occur on most holidays; that, like Muslim women, European women will increasingly live in fear; begin to stay indoors; and that female workers will increasingly suffer from post-traumatic stress symptoms. A European woman's quality of life and efficiency at work may decrease. This will be true for women of every ethnicity and religion....'
http://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/261404/lefts-embrace-islamic-rape-jamie-glazov
There are other urgent lessons to be learned from the misogyny glimpsed in the above video, and seen in Cologne and elsewhere on New Year's Eve, very crucially the insanity of permitting a prevalence of young unattached Muslim male 'migrants and asylum seekers' to enter Europe in enormous numbers, many of whom, through sexual predation, are making life miserable for women and children fleeing to Europe the Middle East as well as for non-Muslim women.

This article surveys the situation as it affects Germany, and also examines other worrying factors:

And this one warns compellingly of the folly of immigration programs that fail to preserve the natural gender balance, a balance that must be followed if host nations are to have a hope of avoiding the victimisation of women and other anti-social behaviour:

'....   58 per cent of Europe's arrivals in 2015 were adult men, UNHCR data says ....
Research shows where men outnumber women rates of violent crime, property crime and crime against women are higher
According to the UNHCR, 58 per cent of the more than 1 million migrants and refugees who arrived in Europe last year were adult men, 17 per cent were women, and the remainder were children.
Professor Valerie Hudson, a Texas A&M University professor, said gender imbalances could cause serious problems in the community.
She said societies where men outnumbered women were more susceptible to higher levels of violence, insurgence and mistreatment of women....
"What we have found uniformly [in societies where men outnumber women] is a rise in crime, particularly violent crime, property crime, crime against women." ....
"We also see much more ease of recruitment into criminal gangs, or quasi-rebel/social movement-type gangs.
"We also see across the board a more constrained lifestyle for women and there's also a significant rise in demand for trafficked women, either as 'brides' or prostitutes." ....
Professor Hudson said her colleague Andrea den Boer, from the University of Kent, was doing her own research on Germany's gender ratio.
"[Dr den Boer] found that the sex ratio alteration in the young adult population, according to her ... preliminary calculations [is] looking also to be abnormal at about 114 boys of that age for every 100 girls," she said....
"Speaking as an American who has studied global gender issues for a long, long time, all of us look to northern and north-western Europe as an example of cultures that have successfully pursued gender equality," she said.
"To now see folks like the Mayor of Cologne urging women to dress differently, to behave differently, that there may be certain 'no-go areas' for women, I think is tragic....'
As the Australian scholar of Islam Dr Mark Durie observes in concluding an excellent article on Islamic sex slavery,
'It is not a sign of tolerance when free people deliberately silence themselves about the ideological drivers of sex trafficking. The same can also be said of acts of terrorism, such as the world has witnessed over the past week in France, Tunisia and Kuwait.
Until societies are able and willing to have a frank and free discussion of the ideological drivers which motivate acts of terror and abuse, they should not expect to be able to develop effective strategies to contain or wind back such atrocities.
A state of denial is a state of defeat.'

Pardon My French (video)

Thanks to Ian for telling me about this one:

Bonus: more misogyny from the Dark Ages. How the women in Paradise differ from earthly women, few of whom make it to Paradise anyway, apparently.  Much ado about "tearing hymens".  Hymens that conveniently repair themselves after every act of penetration, for the greater gratification of the almighty male!

As blogger Vlad Tepes comments ironically, the formula seems to be that it ain't porn so long as it's sung.

"A Penis That Never Bends" (video)

The answer to a question many women must have wondered: if men get 72 virgins in the hereafter, what do women get?

Palestinian-Jordanian cleric Sheikh Mashhoor bin Hasan Al-Salman tells.

Women Just Want To Walk Unmolested (video)

And, clad in black shrouds from head to toe, you'd think they could do just that, if propaganda about the "liberating" effects of the burkha and its sister garments is to be believed.

Two young ladies out for a walk in Jeddah, however, have found that this ain't necessarily so.

Gift Of The Gab(rielle)

I must confess I'm not familiar with the denomination of which this voluble lady, the pro-Israel Gabrielle Crofts, is a bishop, namely the "Old Catholic Church".

But here she is at the "Reclaim Australia" rally in Perth, Western Australia, explaining why she fears mass Islamic immigration into Australia.

At least she can't be accused of being a western feminist who closes her eyes to the second-class status of women in Islam (such as that seen in my previous post):

No, Virginia, All Societies Are Not Created Equal

Even though Western leftists, even feminist leftists, will tell you that they are:

A European Imam: "A Woman Should Be Confined To The Home & Is Not Allowed To Refuse Sex With Her Husband Even When Menstruating"

A repellent rant against women and wives by an imam in Berlin, a city with an unfortunate history of repellent ranters.  Such monstrous misogyny, in a country whose head of state is a woman!

I wonder how the anti-Israel leftist feminists who are strangely shtum regarding Islamic misogyny equate this with the absurd leftist myth that all cultures are created equal.

"Who Speaks For The Thousands of Women Oppressed & Abused [By Islam] Every Day?" (video)

Evidently not the western liberals who readily betray the rights of girls and women on the altar of appeasement and political correctness when the oppressors are of the Islamic sort.

It's great to see the ever courageous Chloé Valdary giving Fred Lawrence and Brandeis University a  (polite) blast.

They Hang Women, Don't They?

Is there any sight more despicably hypocritical than a left-liberal paying obeisance to Islamo-fascism and betraying Western liberal values as a result?

Consider this extract from a letter that 87 faculty members at Brandeis University sent to president Frederick Lawrence, successfully imploring him to overturn the university's commitment to honour one of the most courageous female public figures in the world?
"Please know that, like Ms. Hirsi Ali, we fully recognize the harm of forced marriages; of female genital cutting, which can cause, among other public health problems, increased maternal and infant mortality; and of honor killings. These phenomena are not, however, exclusive to Islam.
The selection of Ms. Hirsi Ali further suggests to the public that violence toward girls and women is particular to Islam or the Two-Thirds World, thereby obscuring such violence in our midst among non-Muslims, including on our own campus.... We cannot accept Ms. Hirsi Ali's triumphalist narrative of western civilization, rooted in a core belief of the cultural backwardness of non-western peoples."
Note, if you will, the neglect in the first quoted sentence to acknowledge the fact that female genital mutilation is a crime against the person of the female herself: note the fact that the signatories, to their shame, consider only the effects of the practice on "public health" in the form of its possible deleterious effects on the mutilated female in childbirth, and upon her infant.

It is almost as if the signatories do not consider a female at risk of that barbaric Third World procedure an individual in her own right, as if by some strange osmosis they are projecting primitive misogynistic Third World attitudes towards women onto the females of such "cultures".

Note, too, the dismissive attitude to "honor" killings (yes, inverted commas around that word "honor" should be de rigueur in all politically correct circles, since malecentric femicide is what these killings represent, based on the concept of women as infantile and inferior chattels of their male relatives.

Ah, but what is that document if not an example of the cultural relativist's sophistry, an insistence that all cultures are as good, or perhaps I should say as bad, as each other?

In my previous post I mentioned, inter alia, the plight of an Iranian woman who is due to be hanged in that hellhole for the female of the species (see this article on the execution of Iranian women), and now comes word that another women is in danger of the Iranian noose:
'Roya Nobakht, 47, presently being detained as a political prisoner in Iran, may face execution for insulting Islam. She has lived in Stockport, England with her husband for the last six years and holds dual British-Iranian citizenship.
Her husband, Daryoush Taghipoor, has stated that his wife was arrested while visiting a friend at Iran's Shiraz airport last October for comments she had made on a Facebook group calling the government of Iran "too Islamic." According to a copy of her charge sheet seen by the UK's Independent [newspaper]; she was transferred to Tehran and charged with "gathering and participation with intent to commit crimes against national security and insulting Islamic sanctities"-- crimes punishable by death.
In an interview, Mr. Taghipoor told the Manchester Evening News that "his wife is not well at all...she has lost three stones [42 lbs]… and is scared that the government will kill her." He also said that a confession had been extracted from his wife "under duress." As is well documented, torture is systematically used by Iranian authorities to obtain confessions from political dissidents and even from some common prisoners....'
 The report continues:
'Ms. Nobakht's fears are not unfounded. Iran's persecution of expatriates is nothing new. The first known case was that of Ms. Zahra Kazemi, a Canadian-Iranian photojournalist who died under torture in 2003 while in custody. Ms. Zahara Bahrami, a Dutch-Iranian, was hanged in 2011....
Ms Zahra Kazemi, a Canadian-Iranian photojournalist who had left Iran in 1974, returned in 2003 to cover a story about Iran. She was soon arrested and detained in Evin prison on charges of espionage. As Iran does not recognize dual citizenships, Ms. Kazemi was not allowed representation by Canadian authorities. She later died in custody. The Iranian officials claimed she had died as a result of a stroke but refused to return her body to Canada. In 2005, however, Dr. Shahram Azam, a doctor with the Iranian security forces who had examined Ms. Kazemi's half-dead body, fled Iran. He testified that the victim's body showed extensive signs of torture administered over a few days. The notes from his medical journal include a crushed toe, broken fingers, missing finger nails, broken ribs, a skull fracture, severe abdominal bruising, marks of flogging on her back and feet, extensive damage to the genitals and peculiar deep scratches on her neck. She was 52 years old and the first victim of the Islamic regime's war of terror on Iranians holding dual citizenship.... '

The last woman to be hanged in Britain went to the gallows in 1956; she was a criminal's moll and had been involved in a murder.  Her name was Ruth Ellis, and the left-liberals of the day were up in arms; their campaign against capital punishment, spearheaded by the Labour MP Sydney Silverman, succeeded in 1965.

I wonder how many of the left-liberal brigade will be up in arms over the fate that in all likelihood  awaits Roya Nobakht.

In the United States opponents of the death penalty (abolished in some states, but not in others) like to say that it is "cruel and unusual punishment".

What, I wonder, do the Brandeis University cultural relativists who signed that despicable faculty letter make of Iran's penchant for sending people to the gallows, including women?

Will they, and others of their ilk, consider it "cruel and unusual punishment"?

Or, seeing as it's based on Islamic injustice justice, will they merely shrug and say:
"We cannot accept [a]triumphalist narrative of western civilization, rooted in a core belief of the cultural backwardness of non-western peoples"
