"Why Are They Being Foolishly Anti-Israel?": Caroline Glick On The Strange Ways Of American Jewish Lefties

Here is the Jerusalem Post's most popular columnist, talking at that paper's conference this year; her topic is the lamentable attitude of left-liberal American Jews, including Peter Beinart, regarding Israel, and what should be the response to it.
(Hat tip: reader Ian)

Destroying Israel is the goal of the BDS Movement, with its "deranged, demented perception of Israel," she rightly points out, while talking of musician Roger Waters.

So it's pleasant to be reminded that some show business personalities actually love to visit Israel, as explained in this article.

  1. We can't afford to waste energy wondering why the Peter Beinarts of the world are traitors and collaborators. They just are just as there have been Korach's and Chaim Rumkowsky's since forever. We don't care if they don't like themselves or mommy drank or a creepy uncle touched them. Just as we don't care what broken decision tree leads middle class Arabs to be suicide bombers. It doesn't matter. But importantly we have to see things for what they are. Haters don't hate Israel despite Israel they hate Israel because Israel. If BDS loons hate Israel and want to see it die then that's what they want. If the Beinarts adhere to the BDS movement it's because of what it wants not despite what it wants. To say otherwise is to give them the status of beleaguered victim with no other option which of course is vapid insanity.
