"Jews Can Be Profoundly Stupid About Their Own Security": An Orthodox rabbi on the need to confront Islamic antisemitism

"The American Jewish world has not learned a blessed thing since the 1930s," declares the delightfully droll Rabbi Dr Gerald Meister (an activist in Jewish-Christian dialogue who passed away earlier this year) on this recently uploaded video, filmed in 2012 following his address to Christian Zionists in Nashville.  He cites Anglo-Jewry, "the Reform Jewish Establishment" and the American Jewish Congress, American Jewish Commitee, and the ADL as being among those he believes harbour a "typical Diaspora mentality" which consists of thinking that if the enemy is cosied up to, the threat it poses will dissipate.  "Silence does not make the problem go away.  If we offend certain people, it is only because we have been offended."
